"Gives good feedback" "Amazing lectures"

Very funny prof, but do the readings cause he gives a lot of essays, so you should be prepared. but his lectures are helpful too, as long as you write notes. Probably one of the funniest profs, not monotone, doesn't read off a script, and tells interesting stories relating to the course

Top-class professor. Extremely funny. His lectures contain more jokes than philosophical content. Readings are dense, but you dont have to do them to do well. Lecture slides can be distracting as they are just walls of text. It's probably best to just listen to him during class, an then go over the slides (which he posts online) later.

This guy was so into what he was teaching that he was literally hopping all over the stage. Overall incredible prof, very funny, leads through concepts slowly. Overhead material can be distracting b/c it's a lot of text, listen to him instead of reading it. Reading the books is unnecessary to do well, just go to lectures and you'll be fine.

King is an awesome prof. He explains material really clearly, and well, and makes whatever topic being discussed interesting. He's always joking around, and makes class fun to attend.

AMAZING professor. Although I don't like philosophy much, King made attending the lectures worth while. The guy is hilarious, and extremely intelligent. He does not test on things not discussed in class, but being in class is a MUST because the readings are extremely difficult and needed to be explained. His explanations are clear. Just amazing.

Even if you don't like philosophy, King's lecturers make it worthwile taking the course. He's incredibly funny, which is very comforting for first years, and he makes the hard concepts very understandable. Definitely recommend taking this class! He is one of the best professors I have ever had. Brilliant man!

He is an epic philosophy professor! I had him in first year & even though I no longer have him in second year, I still go see him for help with my other philosophy classes and he is more than willing to be of assistance. Just don't lose track during lecture because he can go off on tangents & talk really fast. AMAZING!

Really funny prof! Tends to get sidetracked, but still worth it to attend lectures. Do the readings just because you will take more from the lecture.

Despite the history-hopping nature of the philosophers we read, King made the whole course coherent and relevant. Perhaps more time could have been spent on each philosopher, but a fantastic introduction course made all the better by his wit and openness.

At first, I wasn't sure if I enjoyed his 'happy go-lucky' personality but I quickly changed my mind. He actually turned medieval philosophy into something interesting. I would highly recommend taking his class.

He makes philosophy funny and practical. With his wit, he explains concepts in very clear manner. His notes are extremely organized and helpful. The only complaint I have is that he sometimes breaks down concepts too much and misses the subtlety in them.

King is a perfect representation of just how vibrant philosophy as a subject can be when approached and presented the right way. His classes consist of clear explanations of arguments from the readings as well as many analogies, which is most cases are quite hilarious. Will be looking into more King classes in the future!
