| 3/27/09 | ENG313 | 2 | 5 | 4 | 4 | She does want students to come to class having read the text, but doesn't expect you to understand it fully. Goes over the readings in class so you can ask questions about it (in fact, I think she likes you to ask them as it helps lead the discussion.) She is friendly, loves her topics and has great enthusiasm for teaching and learning. | ||||
| 3/17/09 | Engmany | 4 | 1 | 1 | 3 | Prof. Dietrich teaches the same course under about ten different numbers: graphic novels. She uses the same books and yet, still has no idea what they are about. She will fumble around for a few minutes trying to make sense of something and then complain when a student gives the response. Lazy prof who knows less about the topic than the students. | ||||
| 11/19/08 | ENG311 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 3 | Dawn's okay, but not my favorite teacher. I like that she gives everyone a fair chance to voice opinions. Her assignments are, however, a bit much. I'm used to doing a lot of work for a good class, but I wouldn't sleep, eat, or breathe if I completed all the readings for her class with the depth of analysis she expects. | ||||
| 7/2/08 | ENG418 | 2 | 5 | 4 | 3 | Dawn is a great prof who really works to engage students in the material and discussions. I learned a ton from her and am hoping to take more of her classes. She doesn't teach "easy" classes, so if you're looking to coast, try someone else. | ||||
| 6/19/08 | ENG313 | 2 | 5 | 4 | 4 | Dawn is a great Prof. She really cares about her students and how well they are grasping the concepts. She is always available to help and is very encouraging of inventive, unique paper topics. Learned a ton! | ||||
