Scott doesn?t create a friendly atmosphere for students to engage in discussion, so he ends up to be the only one talking for the entire class period. If a student shares an idea he might make him/her explain it, until they start running out of things to say and lose their thought. He is the stereotype of an arrogant English professor. He enjoys conflict and the discomfort of his class in a sick sort of way. I did learn some in this class but only what I had to to pass. He doesn't seem to think that when his class fails at something means that he is failing to teach it. Dresses well though, kind of looks like Clive Owen. | ||

This professor changed the way I thought about writing, for the better! I've had him twice and both classes have really challenged and enlightened me. He isn't an easy grader, but he gives the most helpful and extensive feedback on your papers that I've had from any other professor. If you get a good grade, you know you've achieved something! | ||

Only min. showed for class. Helpful in the class, but returned papers late and was not clear about assignments. Too much extravagant prose. Not direct, no control over the class. Wonderful lecturer though. Interesting class, and fun, but not fair expectations when he only showed for half the class. | ||
