He was okay. Not great, just okay. I had a rough time understanding the material at all, he had a tough time explaining it. Multivariable is no picnic, but I can't say he was the greatest at teaching it. Nice guy though.

This guy basically teaches using his notes. He copies everything on the board and if anyone has any questions he doesnt have the answer and would ask you to come to his office. His tests are extremely hard; he tries to put all the course study in one question. What kind of teacher does that, trying to trick students! Not recommended for learning.

He is not helpful at all. His explanations are not clear and in lectures he goes over sample problems from the book(I could do it without him at home). His tests are hard and most of the problems are at least one level harder than what is in the textbook.

hes no easy teacher, the guidelines you follow on his tests are very strict, but if you value your math education you should take him, i wish he were teaching the rest of this class because he is amazing, he lets you out early once you finish the section and is very clear and helpful

He is probably one of the best calculus professors i have had. Trust me when i say this: he is not an easy professor but if you do all the homework problems he assigns to the class there is no way you can get a bad grade. If you have any questions go to him during his office hours he will be more that happy to help you.

He's not that bad as some people have described him. I mean come on. atleast he doesn't care about the method that's used as long as you get the right answer. can't complain much.

Good Prof. Very clear lecture style. He gives lots of extra credit. Do all of your homework and attend every class you can get a bonus. I will take him again if he teaches 114. He has a sober sense of humor, be sure to turn off your cell phone and don't talk in class. Thats all you need to do well.

He is a very good teacher. Make sure to do all the homework. It does not matter if it right or wrong, just try your best and do all the problems. He will discuss them in class, so your will have the answers. The quizzes are easy. Study all the homework problems. Thats what you are tested on. He is a good professor.

These guys sure can chirp. I took him last summer, and no one actually rate him. He knows his stuff and give lots of extra credits. One good reason to take him, when you're about to get B, you'll earn A thanks to the extra credits. The only critique I have would be lectures are monotone.

He is a really good teacher. Unlike other math teachers he really tells you the way to remember formulas rather than just telling us to memorize them. Even now I still don't remember most of the 1B formulas , but I just know how to derive them in just a few seconds. I definitely recommend him if you really want to know what math is all about.

If you listen carefully, you can learn alot from him, but he has a monotone voice so after a while i kind of dose of. Just focus and you'll do fine. The workload is not hard.. but some of the test questions require you to manipulate what you learned from the lecture/hoemwork.

He's really nice, a little picky on grading hw but lots of extra credits. However, if everyone want to take math 12 with him...they need a little bit of Calculus...because he goes so fast. Test just like HW...

I signed up with this teacher and it was the biggest mistake I made over the years I put into Deanza. He doesnt help. When you ask questions he makes fun of you. I think he very egotistic and is one of those teachers who thinks he's too superior to answer questions. Enroll with Shirley!!

This is the worse teacher ever!!! He is not willing to help whatsoever! What he teaches in class is NOT what he puts on the test and make sure that you write VERY clearly otherwise you will lose a rediculous amount of points...Just save yourself the time and sign up for a different class!!!!!

He's a tough teacher and you may get confused now and again. Doesn't seem to want to help though. If you do not like math and can't really learn on your own, I recommend another teacher. If you knew math and got it, he liked you.

Hansen seems like a bit of a math nut. He's incredibly thorough and theoretical. That can be a good thing in the advanced classes, because those classes are for people who are studying math-heavy majors. But I can see why people wouldn't like him for 105, where his style might get in the way.
