IH 0851 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I thought his class was going to be really challenging and I didn't agree with anything he said and missed a few classes, but I went to him for help on the essays and I barely participated and ended up getting an A. His journals are a pain, but his views and personal experiences are very interesting. Would I choose his class if I had a choice? No.

Worst professor ever. If you're not religious and don't care about religion STAY AWAY! Spent a whole month on teh bible and relates every topic to it. He also picks favorites. He's very opinionated and unless you agree with him you're wrong. JUST STAY AWAY. If you're shy his mandatory participation will really screw over your grade.

Frank was kind of a quirky guy -- likes to bring up sticky subjects. I enjoyed his class for the most part, but I was really irked when he asked me if I plagiarized my midterm paper!!! Do the journals consistently. I definitely recommend maintaining a rapport with him throughout the class, it'll help your participation grade.

Professor Leib was very accommodating to a number of circumstances throughout the year. Attendance is mandatory, but he allows you to make up absences in his office. Meetings in his office are not required although he loves it!!!! Enjoyed the class because it was kind of relaxed.

Go to his office hours! He is a very intelligent professor, who starts a lot of thought-provoking discussions. I feel like your grade is really based on keeping up with the journal entries and PARTICIPATION...you must sign up for frequent meetings in order to do well. Good teacher

Odd teacher. Talks about sex ALOT. Does journals and a paper. Likes a journalistic style of writing. Loves participation. Once you learn what he likes you are able to focus yourself on doing those things. Easy overall.

Dr. Leib seems easy, but when it comes down to it, its very difficult to pull an A in his class. My writing is flawless for academic papers but his 'midterm' paper is practically a story that you ramble about, making the actual intelligent people in the class strain to write about something so ridiculous. Rambles constantly and forgets a lot

Professor Leib was a great professor that is extremely available to all students. Whomever downed him probably did not do the reading (which you need to do to succeed). Take him and expect fun discussions, great readings, and an overall intelligent guy.

Pretty disorganized, comes to class late a lot, assigns incredible amounts of reading material that noone can reasonably do since the class was a GenEd and they have their own majors. Go to his office hours weekly and make sure everything is up to A order (even then though he'll probably knock you down to an A- for the final grade arbitrarily).

He is a terrible teacher. we had discussions everyday and it seemed like the only thing we talked about is money, sex and immigrants. He requires us to read the book, but we barely talk about the book in class. I recommend another teacher.
