ENGL203 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: B+

Professor McCallum is a wonderful teacher. She is understanding and is a fairly easy marker. Although her lectures can be a little boring the material taught is actually interesting. If you have the opportunity to take her class I strongly suggest you do!

ENGL 387 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

She was very clear on her expectations for the course and I think very understanding of the fact that not everyone who takes her class is an English major. She is also very helpful and very nice.

ENGL 231 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I am normally not very good at English but still managed an A-. The midterm and final were MC and were fairly easy as long as you read the books. There are two essays but are only 500-750 words each. Her class is super easy and lectures weren't mandatory. Definitely pick her if you want to take non-fiction!

ENGL 231 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

English isn't my strongest subject, but I still managed to pull a great mark. Classes are boring, ATTEND THE TUTORIALS. Tutorials are where they give you the answers to EVERYTHING. It's basically the time to pay attention because tutorials is where you know how to answer assignments, get some Midterm and final answers as well.Do practice exam

ENGL241 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Had a class with her in Winter 2012. If you're not into english or not good at it, take her! Tests are pretty easy but you have to read the books as the tests are based on details from the books. The tutorial was the highlight of the course for me as this is where the real discussion happens! The marking is not tough and you can get an A.

ENGL231 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Lectures are very boring, I barely attended them, but attending the tutorials is mandatory, and really helpful. Only have to write two small essays, with maximum 500-750 words. Essays based off short stories. The midterm and final are multiple choice, and they are both reading comprehension. I only recommend this course if it's a requirement.

No matter how boring the lectures are, attend them!Midterm&Final right off powerpoint notes. Two essays and 4 short assignments. This class was a breeze. Pulled of with a B not trying that hard, but could've been an easy A if more effort was put in. Overall good class. Take with McCallum!PS Some very graphic book you are going to read..trust me

If you can, take English with McCallum. You write only two small essays, and your midterm and final are just reading comprehension. Her lectures can sometimes get a bit dull but all the information is presented in a really straightforward way. Also she is really nice and if you're ever sick or something she is very understanding.

Not a bad prof. Her lectures were horribly boring and which made it impossible to pay attention. The midterm and final were really easy and the 2 essays weren't that bad. Read spark notes for the books on the midterm and final and you'll do fine.
