Scobie-doo has some high expectations for his students. He expected us to use MLA citations in in-class tests (in a first year class, no less). A waste of time that could be much better spent writing. Knows (and coos over) lots of Canadian "authors"--give it a rest. Before I heard him lecture, I thought airbags were only in cars. | ||

Brilliant mind. Speech impediment comment made by someone else is cruel and in very, very bad taste. Bit of a name-dropper and his chummy, insiders club stuff is rather cloying. In love with Bob Dylan? Hmmm. | ||

Scobie is okay. The fact he has met and knows alot of Canadian literary icons makes him more interesting, not pompous. i far perferred to be taught by this knowledgeable prof than some recent Phd who's absorbed literature from dry books and articles. | ||
