Excellent teacher! Thanks UVic for such a wonderful prof. Dr Dugbartey is truly the best psych prof there is. He knows his stuff. Students who do not perform have a hard time in his class. He has high expectations.

This is the best prof ever. Extremely intelligent and helpful. Made the course interesting and clear. Thank you for your guidance.

Truly sad that UVic has someone as even a sessional - conceited (god only knows why!), thinks he's so bright but really is a poor teacher in every respect - people were incessantly complaining about his disorganization, his disinterest in answering questions, and his favoring students that would make a particular effort to curry his favor!!!!

Third year, 3 unit, Clinical Psychology course through UVic. Inspiring, supportive teaching style. Sponsored initial CPA Student Membership, and encouraged that I seek training/career in Forensic Psych. Good foresight! Though I was not able to see it at the time, this is where I am now and it is very rewarding!

Wow, I thought Dr.Dugbartey was an awesome teacher.... not conceietd at all, just very involved in psychology and wanting his students to be engaged as well. Id have to say one of the best actually at Uvic. Very fair guy. All those who wrote negatively about him you guys must be smoking some serious crack cause hes a great teacher!

This professor was extremely boring to listen to. He carries with him a pompous demeanor and doesn't make students feel very comfortable to approach him and ask questions. Every time I showed up for class all I could think about the whole time was how I would rather be sleeping in because I wouldn't be missing anything anyhow.

Anthony is lazy and horribly disorganized! Lectures are entertaining...but that's about it. We never got back our 2nd midterm AND he never went over it, although he said twice that he would. He is a frustrating prof and has no time for his students. Unbelievably lazy!!! Should just quit teaching.

Best to avoid this professor if at all possible. While he knows his topic area, he does not handle changes well (e.g. addition of a student to a class) and tends to be overly punitive in his evaluations.

This is a great prof. Amazing lecturer, lets you know whats going to be tested, and makes everything interesting. An easy A if you're willing to memorize stuff.

I found him enthusiastic and enjoyable at first during class, but NOT helpful in person. Not accommodating at all when it comes to the students' needs. I liked him until I went to him after class. Oh and his e-mail replies reek of arrogance.

Unhelpful, very hard exams, unpleasant to talk to in person, lazy marker, doesn't read e-mails. BUT I am taking another course with him. Why? Because funny and interesting lectures, and his enthusiasm really rubbed off on me. Advice? Write down every word, he makes exam questions obvious so listen, and DO read text and study bolds + chap reviews.

Funny prof, interesting, but he screwed us. He gave a new large section to learn 3 days before the final with no warning-no lecture, and still hasn't posted our grades from exam 2 from over a month ago (which he adjusted because unfair -our grades dropped 20%). Not knowing 45% of our grades going into the final is not a good feeling.

Very entertaining, not boring at all (whether you enjoy the material or not) and understandable. Unfortunately he can't organize a course. Covers the same topic over a month's time, and then tells you there is a whole other topic that he didn't cover in class but will take up more of the test. I'd love to recommend his class but i can't.

I think he's a great prof, he's interesting to listen to and he makes his expectations clear. If you actually attend class and print the online notes i dont see how you could miss what he's trying to teach you. It takes work to do well but it very possible and i think he's making potentially very dry material very interesting.

Big jerk. Arrogant and narcissistic. You will do fine if you brown nose. Good idea to go to class, because he gives lots of hints for exams, but only if you can stand listening to him make himself feel good by squeezing compliments out of poor unsuspecting students. Crappy office hours; don't write him emails, he'll get offended.
