She is great! She goes really slowly to make sure everyone can keep up and is really approachable. She gives a lot of homework but she warns you before she collects it and it really helps your grade if you do well. The tests are easy and straightforward and she always gives out a study guide. | ||

WONDERFUL professor. i always hated french in high school, but after taking her class, i loved french so much that i switched to be a french major! i recommend her to everyone. gives a lot but also expects a lot. absolutely fabulous! | |

Professor Guikema is extremely helpful. I have found that my writing, in general, has increased just from the concepts we have covered & written about in French. She holds individual conferences to discuss your writing capabilities, which is an act that shows how much she cares about her students and their progress. | |

Elle est tres gentille! Great prof, but class can get dull at times. Not the quickest grader, and tests involved lots of writing. One perk is having the podcasts, so you don't have to go to the language lab. But the podcast projects are very time-consuming and frustrating. The class is a lot of work, but she is a great prof and you learn a lot. | |
