Math18.0
Great prof. I watched the entire 18.02 Multivariable Calculus lecture series on MIT 's OCW, and Denis is definitely my favorite prof of all time. His level of understanding is apparent in his teaching delivery, and has transcended itself in such away to further facilitate my own level of understanding of this particular subject.

I used MIT's Multivarible calculus course online to supplement my course at MS&T and the professor (Denis) that taught the course was outstanding.

You can see what a great teacher he is and how much he cares about his students from the 18.02 lectures on MIT Open Courseware. I was not enrolled in the course, but I was blown away watching the lectures - how clear they are yet how much he packs into them. Not to mention he is the king of speed erasing!

Auroux is clear in all that he does: lecturing grading etc. Homework is harder than the tests which is problematic for those who are willing to put in work but make algebraic errors. Curve is bad kind, everyone will seem smart. Make sure you don't make mistakes on tests, but he knows the grade you deserve and what is PNP. OH fun cause he a cool guy

I took Auroux's class at Berkeley fall 2010. He is amazing. One of the best teachers i've ever had. Clear lectures, very fair on exams, and the BEST in office hours! Definitely go to O Hours with quesitons. He's the nicest guy and amazing at explaining one-on-one. I would take any class he's teaching. Love the guy.

Professor Auroux is a god of teaching! Extremely clear, had the occasional joke - I'm so sad that I'll have to move on to another professor next semester. The only gripe I have is that his tests were a bit too easy, which meant 1) the curve hurt you, and 2) simple arithmetic mistakes mattered more than you thought.

Excellent professor overall! He succeeds in explaining otherwise difficult material in a manner that is clear and easy to grasp. His tests were very reasonable and accurately reflected the material he taught in class. Highly recommended!
MATH53
He's an EXCELLENT teacher and clearly explains difficult concepts well. He makes the class enjoyable by adding a bit of his own humor. However, his tests are actually TOO easy. For example, the MEDIAN score on the final was almost a 90% which really messes up the curve. I never thought I'd be curved against in a math class. Usually, curves hel

Excellent professor! I took his multivariable calculus class when he was taking a sabbatical at UCB. He is extremely thorough, never leaving a stone unturned. His lectures were very clear, although you have to get used to his French accent (which I found very endearing). His tests were straightforward, very doable. I highly recommend Prof. Auroux!

He is one of the best math professors ever! He is extremely clear and his tests are super easy if you go to lecture. Watch out for the Berkeley curve though it really gets you. I have never seen math midterm averages that high.

Taught Math 53 while he was on leave at UC Berkeley, which is the equivalent of Math 18.02. An excellent lecturer who gives fair exams. A bit of a sense of humor, too. Really glad he came to Berkeley. If he is on leave at your school, or is teaching the course again at MIT, enroll with him. You won't regret it.

HE's a great professor, and his accent is really funny. Everyone is entertained by his speed erasing.

Auroux is such a great professor that I wish he could teach all of my classes. I was never bothered by his French accent; he's a good English speaker and explains things very clearly. He's a Parisian child genius, but despite this, he is an excellent teacher and explains things in a way which the students can access.

Auroux is amazing! His accent was a bit of a bother at the beginning of the semester, but I quickly became accustomed. He makes lectures interesting (speed erasing, jokes).
