Incredible teacher, may seem boring at first, but once the class gets going he will really draw you in. Expert on the subject, and is very inviting if you go to his office hours

Absolutely amazing. Crystal clear in his lectures, and very thourough. Just take good notes and the material will be very straightforward. He is the nicest man in the world and will offer as much help as needed. Very enthusiastic about the material, and has a witty sense of humor. I'm cog sci, know little about ling. and got an A b/c he's so good!

Bruce Tesar is my favorite teacher ive had at rutgers. Hes brilliant and hes an easy grader. Just attend his classes and you wont even need to study for exams. Hes really helpful!

such a funny guy and really easy. as long as you can do the homework and understand the concepts the tests are really easy. the tests are open book and open notes which are lecture slides you download. don't buy the book because its a waste of money. sometimes he curves final grades but already easy to get an A. def take his class

Great GPA booster, and interesting material. Exams are open book/notes, and you really only need the textbook for its charts, which are online. If you don't go, the only thing you'll miss is Tesar's little jokes and Beatles references. (How could you think you were taking a language? What language? Read the course description, dummy.)

hes such a weird funny man! all his notes are online. whoever said this class was hard is just a lazy bum. yes there is a homework assignment every week, but i never use the textbook and always get perfects on my homework... midterm and final are open book. just listen to him, hes very clear, and go to recitation and youll have no problem

This class sucks. I thought it was going to be easy but its definitely not. Theres a homework assignment due once a week and its not east at all. I thought i was taking a foreign language..i didnt understand anything that was going on. Do urself a favor dont take this class its garbage
LING 101
Extremely easy. Lectures aren't at all necessary to attend, as he puts all the notes online (BEFORE class) - and they are exactly what he goes over in lecture. One easy homework assignment a week, exams are open book/open notes and are easy as well. He is clear and easy, and nice!

Nice guy. Puts notes online before the classes. Homework assignment due every week at the beginning of class before lecture (no exceptions). Only Midterm & final. Really boring class, but it fulfills a nonwestern requirement. I thought the midterm was pretty hard.

What a funny little man. Exams were pretty fair (for some reason, final was significantly easier than midterm). At end of semester, gave us this group project that counted for a huge chunk of our grade that was super easy and ensured As for all. Again -- what a funny little man.
Lang 101
Class is pretty easy, all lecture notes are online (he pretty much repeats what's on his powerpoint slides in class), and exams are open note, open book. Just gotta get to class on time to hand in homework or you're screwed.
