"Tough Grader"

Do not take this class if you don't need it! She's relies to emails only when she feels like it. The material is interesting but her teaching style is not!

"Tough Grader" "Lectures are long" "Skip class? You won't pass."

The TA's that do her tutorials seemed to me to be very hard markers. The class itself is pretty dry. She puts on an hour long video and gives out papers to fill out. Lectures are way to long 3h each and an hour tutorial .

The online class was easy to understand and really well organized. The final might have been long but it was easy material. Watch out for multiple choice though, she makes them really tricky.

"Get ready to read" "Tests are tough" "Would take again"

This is honestly the worst online class I have taken at Concordia. The final was an absolute disaster. I can't believe we had a full assignment on the final, 50 MC and TF and short answers. This course is not well-organized it's basically a hot mess. I wrote my exam on Dec 4th and I am still waiting for my grade. Ridiculous, I regret taking this.

AVOID. TOUGH grader + a lot of work for an elective.. worked harder for this class than my program ones + impossible to get over 80% and I am an honour student third year. Quizzes ask for specific information that are impossible to remember on the spot. the final is RIDICULOUS, essay question, read article + answer 6 short answer questions, 50 MC!

Unless you have a photographic memory, I wouldn't suggest taking this course. Unbelievable amount of memorization required and her feedback is in no way helpful. Tough grader when is comes to Discussion Board questions and assignments. Way too much work for an intro! Lots of reading, videos, slides and unorganized review sheets. AVOID AT ALL COST!

DO NOT TAKE unless you want to memorize everything!! no exaggeration. my biggest regret taking this course. way too much work for an intro class. the final is essentially memorizing everything for your 50 mc and 50 t/f. on top of your essay questions. AVOID

This class has been the worst class that I've taken at concordia so far. I honestly do not recommend this class to anyone. She expects students to memorize the textbook word for word for exams. Also it is WAY WAY WAY TOO much work for an introductory class.

Really great class, just make sure to do all the readings! I attended every class and took great notes but for exams don't forget to review the readings. Also, go to her office hours! She is super helpful in explaining anything you need help with.

The teacher is not good for teaching at all. When I took this class I had the worst TA (Sara)in the department. You don't know what this class needs. Don't take this class with Jourdan.

I took this course online and it was interesting. However, when it came to quizzes/final, she expected us to memorize practically the whole textbook. She was very unclear when it came to the weekly discussion board and assignment (lack of information given). For an introduction class it is a lot of work!

Very nice lady. She obviously know her subject really well but there is way too much information to memorize for an introduction class. Quizzes are easy but group discussions not always related to what is learned.

HORRIBLE QUALITY! Took this class because culture interested me, but the work was horribly dull. Tests are multiple choice and wording is intended to trip you up. You get ZERO chance to use or apply anything in the course, she wants you to memorize trivial facts. Weekly discussions don't always apply to the topic, just one tiny facet. TERRIBLE!!!

DO NOT TAKE ANTH 202! It's so much work and the quiz/exam review sheets are unorganized and unclear. She doesn't specify what she wants and for an intro class, you basically have to memorize the entire textbook word for word if you want a good mark. AVOID THIS CLASS!

Interesting class, but exams and final exam questions are about very specific facts that aren't important to the class. Final is brutal even if you study for 2 full weeks (5 hrs a day)like I did. Good luck if you take this class.

I loved this class. Her study notes are clear and easy to understand. Her weekly discussion force you to re-read and understand material. Exam questions are the practice questions (hint). This course made me switch into anthropology from biology :)

Iam taking ANTH202 online. This class is non-sensical, way too hard for an intro class and doest not rely on learning but on the memorization of random facts scattered around in the lessons and textbook. They will not give back your exam copy because they have a question pool and dont want to create new questions every semester.Worst class at Conc.

This teacher really is horrible. She asks for things that are not even in the book but rather in her own personal "video intervies" all in all horrible class really hated it. Way harder then it should be.
