Amazing individual. Fine novelist. Acclaimed poet. Personable. Listening to him spout his ideas, you'll imagine you're in a Terry Gilliam epic satirizing the modern university. He'll spend a half hour on a heroine's sleeve in an Ozu film, or dwell on Lana Turner's hairdo, or compare the peanuts in "Duck Soup" to certain private parts. He's a trip.

Brilliant, original, poetic - at times a child peaks out, and one sees in him the original wonder and love of literature - This professor simply glows and sparkles with heartfelt brilliance!

The belle of the ball and he knows it. Perhaps the best dressed and nicest professor in NYC. Smart and original course offerings and great insights most of the time.
