Bisc 1000 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: B

This review is for his dean seminar in Biotechnology. Morris is a funny guy and really knows the field we study. Most work is done in class, but there are homework assignments and they can be lengthy and require a lot of time. If you are not a science major, this course will be harder. But if you can muster it, Morris does not disappoint.

Take his classes! He is a hilarious, kind, and intelligent professor. Sometimes I think he's a walking encyclopedia. Work hard, and you'll get a good grade. He wrote our class letters of recommendation to our surprise! He's really the best professor at our university.

BISC Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I miss Morris! He is really chill and his sarcasm/British humor always makes me laugh. PS-he's hard to get hold of though sometimes. Microbio & cell bio require research, nothing too intense Biotech-easy A. I have received either A or A- in all classes and I didn't have to give up a limb to do that...just work hard a few days before assignments

Morris is absolutely amazing! He has a dry sense of humor that is hilarious and makes learning biology bearable. I took micro, cell bio, and biotech with him and he's hands down the best bio professor at GW.

BISC2202 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Morris is a hilarious guy and if you have at least some interest in learning he will help you a lot. If you listen carefully he makes really funny jokes in class. Yes you have to do research but all the answers are right there, you just have to find them. Highly recommended.

Amazing professor. WID Class is based on a critique, 2 self directed research projects, and a critical review. No in class exams. Dr. Morris will guide u through the projects and let's you revise papers, your grade will be the avg of the first and second paper. Takes effort into account. Overall, awesome prof, one of my fave in bio dept

BISC801 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

If you want an almost guaranteed A, take this class. Our grade was based on two papers/presentations, a lab report, and going to lecture/labs. He lets you do rough drafts of papers and is a really easy grader. Don't need to take notes. He took us to chinatown for a free meal after going to a science museum, which was really nice. If you are not a science major and need to take a science class, I would definitely take biotechnology.

BISC137 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Morris is one of the best biology teachers at GW. He says THAT EVERYONE WILL GET EITHER AN A- OR A. Yes you do have to do a fair amount of work, but this is college, get over it. I have taken 10 credits with him (2 WIDS) all A's. He also loves writing you recommendations. You never need to take notes, since the entire class is based on research

BISC180W Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

He's the most fair grader I've ever seen. He takes everything into consideration, including attendence, interest level, prior knowledge, background knowledge, participation, and the amount of work you put into the course. He is knowledgeable and funny and lets you redo papers until you get an A!

Do not be fooled! This is not an easy class! All take home, sure, but extremely challenging. Morris isn't helpful bc he wants YOU to do the work. Know how to look up and interpret journals or you will fail.
