MATH 099
Professor Abarca has a very effecient teaching style. Her style is to lecture during class, assign homework that isnt mandatory, thenanswer questions to start the class th next day. Students that do poorly choose not to do the homework.

Mrs. Abarca is a nice person and a great teacher. I hated math before taking her course. Now it's enjoyable. The only reason for her "putting down" students (which she doesn't actually do) is because they are being discourteous in one form or another. Use your manners and you won't have a problem.

Abarca was an OK teacher... She came off as rude and frustrated with students a lot of the time. It was a good class to brush up on my math skills tho. Didn't get a good grade, but I am just bad at math!

She knew what she was talking about, but did not know how to teach it. Seemed very rude at first and put down students, all the time.

Abarca is the best teacher I have ever had--no exceptions! She is tough and had high expectations. However, you WILL learn in her class. She is also funny and kind.

Super fun, she is a great teacher and pretty down to earth! Easy enough to where if you missed some days it was easy to pick up where she left off

I love Abarca, she is super down to earth and really great at explaining things. She has missed a few days of class, but always gave us extra time afterward. I've had students tell me they disliked her, but I have had her for two quarters and wouldn't want to take math with anyone else.

Great teacher. I have always DREADED math but she explained things slowly and in a way that made sense. Friendly person, doesn't pick favorites. GOOD CLASS. I'll definitely be taking her again for future math classes.

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. My mom sits on the school board for CC so I went in and complained, apparently I'm not the only one. She didnt explain things, missed class, and was rude. Now I understand why hardly anybody was in her class.

Attendance is not mandatory as apparently her attendance isn't manditory either. There were several mornings we sat in class waiting for her only for her to not show up. Completly unreliable and came to work hung over on more than one occasion.

Missed classes often, nice enough person however her personal life conflicted with her class time. She mostly teaches low level high school math classes at the college. Explains things well when she feels like putting in the effort.

Good teacher. she was able to explain algebra in a way that I could understand and remember (which is saying a LOT). Good attitude. Absent more than any other teacher, but hey she's a single mom give her some credit.

I hated Algebra and could not understand it for the life of me, but that was before taking Abarca's class. Although there was a lot of homework, I did well on the tests and learned a lot. She is approachable and helpful. Who cares if she misses some classes because her kids are sick. She tells the class at the beginning that she is a mom first.

Absent a lot, but is angry if you miss her class when she IS there. Unreliable. She doesn't seem to really care about teaching as much as she cares about talking about her weekend or whatever. And she only confused me with her instructions on how to do math problems.
