PAE 300 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Please disregard past 5+ ratings on PAE course, I know the ONE guy who made them, he is clearly insane and upset that hes not as smart as he likes to think. Prof Meline is the sweetest old lady, Ive had her for 2 courses and gotten A's in both. Hes right, all you need to do is regurgitate the info that she HANDS you! Learning PHL is not interpreting

PAE300 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

This was by far the worst professor I have had at SJU. She was an incredibly rude teacher who laughs at your questions during class. Very unorganized and changes assignments and topics days before they are due. Incredibly pretentious and unhelpful. AVOID

Do not take her if you value your own opinion. You are not allowed to have one in this class. But do take this class if you enjoy mindlessly copying and repeating back questions and answers. She is incapable of teaching and her horrible ratings since 2004 should be a clear indication of that.

Hopefully enough people gave her bad ratings on evaluations and she gets fired. Her class makes you hate Philosophy. If you thought the class looked interesting, think again. You aren't allowed to interpret the text or have your own opinions. She changes assignments and test questions just days before its due. Avoid at all costs.

PAE Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

This was by far the worst class I have ever taken. The class is quite demanding in that you need to memorize word for word everything she says. But don't memorize it too close to her words or it's plagiarizing BUT also don't interpret it yourself either, because you will also be wrong. It's hard to focus while she rambles aimlessly off topic also.

Do not take this class if you value your own opinion. You aren't allowed to have one in this class. When she hands out an assignment, she expects to read the same paper over and over again. Her grading is absurd and wants you to say exactly what she told you in class otherwise you are wrong. She is confusing and not helpful in any way.

You can thank me now. DO NOT TAKE HER! You've just dodged a bullet. The most narrow-minded prof I have come across. She wants you to regurgitate exactly what she says in class, however if you get too close to her or the original text, it is considered plagiarism. She rambles incoherently and believes her class is top priority over LIFE itself.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. SHE IS AN UNFAIR GRADER AND IF YOU GO TO HER FOR HELP SHE WILL GO ON AND ON LIKE SHE IS READING FROM A TEXTBOOK. SHE IS CLOSED MINDED

She is the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. So unhelpful and does not even want to help you. Don't ask questions because she just gets mad. Do not take.

Philosophy Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I took Meline for a couple Philosophy courses and she's great. Really sweet and cares a lot about her students - always willing to help. She also gives you all the test questions beforehand and edits papers if they're turned in early (so you can make the corrections and get an A). It's not hard to get a good grade, you just have to try a bit.

PHL154 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Barely use the book, she uploads everything online and color coordinates it. Gives all test questions before, so all you have to do is write down her answers and memorize. Hate philosophy and never paid attention except when she was giving answers to test questions and ended up with an A. Really knows her stuff, can learn a lot if you want.

PHL154 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

She is a really nice lady and knows her stuff, however she is very confusing and narrow minded. She gives you the test questions before hand which is great but pretty much wants you to repeat her answers back to her in order to get full points.

If you can, avoid her. Very confusing but overall nice. If you are new to PHL, then you will hate the class. If you enjoy PHL, then go ahead and take it.

PHL154 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I will start with, Dr. Meline is a very nice lady, who loves what she does, and clearly knows her stuff. She also is willing to talk with you and explain things. So the downside, she is very, very narrow minded. If you don't explain things how she wants, prepare to be wrong. If you can regurgitate things back, then you'll be fine.

PHIL101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Definitely recommended. She's really nice and the class is relatively easy. 3 quizzes (and she gives you all the questions beforehand), 2 papers, and a final. Just show up and participate a bit, and you'll do fine.

I have her now for Human Person and I like the class. She's really nice and the class is pretty easy. 3 quizzes (one is dropped), 2 papers, and a final. You don't even have to put much effort into hw. Just participate and show up to class, and you'll do fine.

Meline is the most narrow-minded teacher I have ever come across in my life. She is extremely set in her ways and any other opinion is WRONG. She is completely unorganized, changed the topics of papers 3 days before they are due, changed the book after everyone bought the first one. DO NOT TAKE HER, hopefully she retires before you have the choice

PHILO1011 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

She basically tells you the exact answers to her questions. There are a good amount of papers, but if you answer them with what she told you, then you should get a good grade. Tests and quizzes are based almost exactly from the questions she gives you, and she will even schedule an extra class day dedicated to the test if you need more help.

Pretty bad. She is stuck in her ways and by that i mean her way or the highway when it comes to material. if you express YOUR OPINION you will be wrong if it doesnt agree with her opinion on the subject. DO NOT TAKE. anybody who likes this teacher must be as narrow minded as her nad i actually like philosophy but not her way of teaching it
