Dr. Pitt was funny and his class was very interesting. However, there was a lot of ambiguity on his exams and the 10 page SINGLE SPACED paper assignment at the end of the semester seemed a tad rushed. All in all, not a horrible course, but it was a lot more stressful than I thought an intro class would be. Take if you have an easy course load.

Awesome professor, very interesting class. But, class is very hard! If your goal is to get an A, do not take this class. Lots of very long papers, not too clear about the grading. But, if you want to have an interesting and fun class, and you are okay with working hard and getting a B, then take it. Pitt is a cool guy.

Dr. Pitt is awesome! He is one of the best professors I've had. Doesn't require too much...just go to class and you'll be able to get a good grade. He makes things interesting.

Interesting man. Class was quite ambiguous as far as grading. He never said what he really wanted. Everything was done in SINGLE-SPACED typing including the final 7 PAGE paper (awful). He did make the class fun, but overall, I'd never take another one of his classes. It was concrete enough.

i hate his system of grading. he's not lenient and grades EXTREMELY hard. i dont recommend taking this SOC 104 class, or any other class he teachers for that matter

Smart, funny, and mixes things up. Really cool approach to debates. Definitely would take one of his classes again. He teaches enough of the sociology classes that this is possible.

Impossible to blend into the crowd. As a quiet person, he sought me out in discussions and debates and forced me to come prepared to speak. Not an easy class, but you come out a bit wiser.
