Dr. Hollerich has an amazing depth of knowledge, and is interesting to listen to during lectures. Almost all quiz material will be covered in class. As long as you pay attention, you're golden. Some quizzes will be essays, so be prepared for that, but none of the essays are ever too hard. Overall, a great class with little out of class work.

Easiest teacher i have ever had. However, he always singles kids out, and i can tell some kids get intimidated of him..

he told us one day in class that the reason he stopped teaching high school was because he hit a kid.... i think thats enough to tell you not to take his class

not a fan. he doesnt teach much from the book unless he wrote it. he teaches his opinion. his quizes can sometimes ask the most out there questions and he will not take the question off. he tends to be rude if something is brought up that does not agree with his opinion

I learned the same exact theology concepts in high school, and I still found this class difficult. He gives great notes and lectures which are easy to understand, but he grades extremely harsh.

I absolutely loved this class and the professor. He is very smart and has a passion for theology. In all honesty, every college class should be like this: discussion based, lots of student participation, incredibly interesting subject matter & a high level of interaction w/ the professor. Would definitely recommend for 101 & upper-level courses.

Dr. Hollerich is really fair and makes the class interesting because he loves what he teaches. He is also really helpful, so if you're struggling, don't hesitate to ask him for help!

Dr. Hollerich is a wonderful professor. He was fair and honest in his approach to his class. Dr. Hollerich is happy to help students who are having trouble theological concepts or with students who come from different religions or no religion who have little or no understanding of Catholicism or Christianity.

He's hard. you're going to need to work for this grade. I took it at 8am too so that didn't help my concentration either. Very intelligent and he knows it. Gives clear instructions and is honest.

Dr. Hollerich is a hard prof. He's full of himself and his lectures are VERY boring. He ordered 3 books to use and halfway through the semester tells us that we don't need one of them. I already bought it... Also, picks out students that aren't Catholic and picks on them. Stay away, especially if you don't do the readings!

Dr. Hollerich is very intelligent. He?s passionate about theology and his class was always engaging and interesting. As long as you do the required work and speak up in class every once in while, an A is definitely attainable. I highly recommend taking him if you?re an individual who sincerely values his/her education. You won't be disappointed.

Hollerich is awesome, but extremely difficult. Do not take Hollerich if you are one of those students that doesn't read the required material. Do take Hollerich if you want a class that is engaging and interesting. He is extremely intelligent and a great proffessor.

Dr. Hollerich is very passionate about theology, you can tell by listening to him talk. His instructions for homework/papers are clear most of the time, but he's willing to clarify. Essay quizes almost weekly can be hard, but not if you do the readings. 3 papers, not too tough. Good teacher overall, I'm taking him again for 220.

This prof requires participation which means you need to do the difficult religion reading. If you do not participate regularly, he randomly calls on you in class. Although he only assigns three papers they are difficult to get enough material on. His quizzes are generally difficult. Everything is graded on a 1 through 4 scale also.

I liked this teacher. There were great discussions and he always made everything clear. We got off track from our syllabus, but no one complained.

Great teacher, teaches you what you need to know about Christianity. Has a depth of knowladge. Tough but fair grader, quizes are detailed. Very helpful if you talk to him. Speak up in class.

Don't take him. Its that simple. If you want a professor who constantly talks about how smart he is and his alma matter take him. He is very condescending and has really hard quizzes, even if you prepare. He expects you to be an expert right off the bat. Please, don't take him and give him any glory.
