"There for you"

This professor loves to help students succeed. He really wants you to learn. He was very helpful to me when I found I was struggling. He recommended areas to focus on and provided some online resources that were helpful. If you are struggling go speak with him directly.

very nice man. Easiest probability class ever since most are usually challenging. His review is basically the test.People may hate his powerpoints but trust me as a statistics major, i wish my other probability classes were this easy

Hm, what to say. He has a great, friendly personality and seems very knowledgeable in his field but at the same time the class was conducted mainly by power point slides and lecture style... i wish the class was more interactive. Got an A but make sure you do your hw, it'll help since the test questions are very similar.

As previous reviews have mentioned, he does seem like a nice man. However, we are not here for a personality contest. We pay tuition to be taught. Unfortunately, as many others have mentioned, he is a POOR lecturer (unorganized, unprofessional, etc). It seems like he has given up and doesn't care. Be prepared to teach yourself from books/etc.

STAT713 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

He is a horrible professor. He is unorganized. He does not teach a lot, and his tests did not really reflect the course material. He assigned a huge project, but there were no clear guidelines, just vague generalizations, so we had to rely on ourselves and hope that he will accept our projects. Not helpful.

This is my first time taking Stats and before I even took the class I really enjoyed taking Math. Nowadays, I feel the need, the need to drop this class. Whatever you do DON"T TAKE THE COURSE. SAVE YOURSELF!

Even though tests are open book it is quite difficult to get a good grade. Lectures do not really reflect the quizes at the end of the class nor the test. You really have to rely on the CD if you want to do well. I suggest getting a real textbook to help. Exam questions are confusing since you haven't seen anything like them.

STAT 113 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

This was not the best class. He is not very clear at all. In fact, you will leave the class confused most of the time. The tests are easy--open book- but that is the only plus. The lab instructors are better teachers than he is. His partner is not any better. She is less helpful than he is. Just save yourself the trouble.

This class isn't a easy one. He'll give you a lot of things to do.Reading the CD is very important.Do all the assements, they help your understanding. He will tell you what he wants in your projects. The test is not so hard, some questions are from the quizes and the classes. Understanding the context is very very importantce! No pay No gain !!!

Outstanding Professor. He really increased my interest in this valuable subject, so much in fact that I switched out of my dead end arts major and into math. It's no wonder some people didn't understand the class - they probably didn't do their homework.

He is a very nice man. Sometime funny. I think his tests is very fair, all from the textbook. But the course is hard and his teaching won't help very much. So read the book and do the exercises then it will be fine.

I've always been a great math student this course was HELL Williams needs to retire I could read ancient egyptian easier than his lectures he works on a problem for 15 minutes on the projector, we're all confused, then he goes back and says oh, this shouldve been a negative and that needed to be doubled. oh and add an X there. WHAT? THEY DONT TEACH

He should spend more time talking with Mrs Clarkson, and the lab teachers they make the class ridiculously hard, you can't really tell who's at fault. No relation between test and lecture whatsoever!Trust me if the teacher has to curve, there is definitely a problem!

Study and go to lab hours. The projects hardly have anything to do with the class, just put a nice cover and a decent overall essay and you will do fine.

If you don't work, you don't learn. Pay attention in class and work all the labs -- you'll do great. Very valuable for later Stat courses.

Please save yourself! ActivStats CD could've been in Chinese and I would've learned more than from him. He was totally clueless and taught ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. What a waste of my time, really.

Confusing and unclear at times. Jumps from one topic to another without showing relationship. Tough grader when it comes to projects, but overall gives lots of credit in the end and open book exams.
