Hist002
Fantastic class with a fantastic teacher. One of the best Ive had yet here at the university. His lectures aren't boring and the tests are open notes.
Hist002
Fantastic teacher that allows you to use your notes during tests. They arnt the easiest tests but they are fair. Great speaker during class and really gets his points across.
HISTHIST
I'm not a fan of History, I solely took this class b/c I'm a Psych major & felt History of Madness & Mental Health would be the perfect history class. At 1st it was rough but Prof Eghigian made it easy to learn. He's a genius and he makes it easy to retain info due to examples & humor. Plus he looks like a George Clooney stunt double haha #swag
STS101
Professor GE is a very intelligent professor who keeps students interested with class discussions and video's shown in class. My advice is to be sure you have read all of the material before exams and take notes during discussions. If you do this, you shouldn't have a problem obtaining at least a B.
HIST103
His slides were never posted on angel, so it is hard to write down everything he said. Tests are essay test and open notebook. If you are a bad writer don't take this class, it was interesting but there was also A LOT of reading which is what the essay tests were on. Keep up with the readings. Not an easy Gen Ed.
HIST103
not an easy gen ed. A lot of reading-and there is no text book so you have to print out the readings every night from angel. The tests are open book essays but take lots of notes because its hard to write an essay without them. Also on the test is true/false so you have to go to class to get his lecture notes for that. worked hard got a B+
HIST103
Great class. Tests are open book essays, but are not easy. You still need to study for them. Grade is from 3 tests plus discussion class attendance. Easy if you take good notes and prepare well for the exams.
HIST123
Greg is a great guy, good lecturer, and will help you out however he can. (One kid showed up to our final an hour late and greg let him finish the rest at home.) Just read the texts and participate in class and youll be all set for the tests (all open book) Not an easy A but a solid Gen ed.
HIST408
His exams were more brutal than the Battle of Normandy. I had a better chance of surviving the holocaust than this class. I have a 3.5 GPA and this class was my only C in my entire life. He is a crazy liberal who hates conservatives. I'm rather apathetic but his biased liberal agenda offended me greatly. Always late for class, and always ran late.
HIST143
The guy was an excellent lecturer and his class was really interesting. The fact is you have to read the material. People thought they could slide by without doing anything and it bit them in the butt come test time. However if you are interested in the subject I highly reccomend it. Ended up with an A-.
HIST 143
A very engaging lecturer who might do well if he switched to being a talk show host. His exams, open-book though they are, are graded extremely hard. You will be lucky to limp out with a B.
HIST143
He is an excellent and engaging teacher. He has a great sense of humor, and is also pretty cute :-P
Hist 143
This is the only class I really look forward to going to, however it is not easy so don't expect an easy A. He has a great sense of humor and is a really great speaker.
HIST 143
Great Professor! Very enthusiastic about the subject, interesting lectures, and great sense of humor. The open book exams are moderatly challenging, he expects you to know the material, but if you go to lecture you'll learn what you need to know. Definatly take his class.
Hist 143
Excellent Professor. He gave some of the best lectures I have heard in my college career. He is extremly knowlgeable about all things NAZI. His lectures are engaging and excting. I would strongly recomend you do all the readings and go to discussion sections. Overall great class!
HIST 143
Great professor! Very interesting lectures...makes you imagine what it was like to be in Germany during the Nazi years. Open book tests aren't too bad, just be able to write good essays (which means u gotta read the material). TA sessions on Fridays are pointless but the class overall is great.
Hist 103
Interesting class, very enthusiastic professor. Lots of reading, though, and the tests can be a challange. Classes led by the TA at the end of the week are pointless. You'll do well if you read and pay attention, but this is not an easy A.
