6/15/05 Math 171B 3 5 5 4 emoticon smiley flag   Professor Holst is the nicest man ever!!! I am totally going to miss this class and this professor. He is a little tough to catch in office hours, but he is always willing to help.
12/26/04 MATH 20D 2 5 3 1 emoticon smiley flag   Tests are representative of hw/prac tests (flat out tells you what's on the exams). Has days where he explains the material really well; others where he doesn't. Book was****, go to lecture instead. TA's inconsistent in grading hw/labs, HARSH on midterms/final. Very Fair. Definately recommend him.
12/23/04 MATH 20D 2 4 5 4 emoticon smiley flag   Nice tests and nice teaching. However, the class is just depressing, but it's not his fault. The TA's and graders for the homework are all very inconsistent, so it really depends on which ones you get. Some of the graders are quite sadistic.
12/9/04 Math 20D 4 3 3 1 emoticon_undecided flag   He's a really nice professor and is very concerned with how the students are doing in the class. Tests are fairly similar to the homework problems, and he never tries to trick you. He's a good teacher overall.
