ENH255 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Took ENH255 online during winter. Very quick, fast paced course. No textbook, but multiple graphic novels and movies needed to be rented or bought. He had things due on holidays like Christmas or NYE, which I didn't like. All in all, it was a very easy and quick course. I definitely recommend this professor for an online setting. Responds well.

Best teacher i have taken! I wish he taught more than English. Class is not mandatory, but Jacobsen makes it fun so you end up wanting to go. He doesnt do the 10 pg research paper like most teachers do! Gives time to work on essas in class so he's right there to help you! This is one teacher that actually cars about his students! :)

ENG200 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Best instructor I have ever had! Incredibly intelligent & obviously very interested in what he's teaching. He makes his class funny as well as instructive & is always willing to answer questions. He really demanded a higher level of thinking & writing from his students. Not an easy class, but so worth it. Would love to take another class w/him.

Attendance was not mandatory, but going to the lectures was always a fun experience. He used a lot of class time to answer questions and do research, and always gave good insight. All in all, a wonderful professor. I would take more classes with him if I could!

ENG102 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I did a hybrid class with him. The class was, well, ENG102, how great can it be. He was the only thing that made it bearable. He was funny and helped out a lot with anything I needed. He used a LOT of peer response for revision, which did not help much.

He is really helpful you just have to ask. Class was a little difficult to me (hybrid). 4 major assignments that all part of one research paper. there are also blogs you have to post, these are the things that killed me. This is what to expect in his class

One of my favorite professors thus far! He helps you when you don't understand something and he works with you if you miss class and helps you catch up. Very easy to talk too and feels comfortable to approach him with a problem. A very dependable instructor (^_^)

ENH255 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I am taking this class online and although the content is interesting and the assignments are relatively easy, the teacher is almost completely absent. He will occasionally pop up and post a reply on the discussion board, but it's few and far between. If i wanted to learn this stuff on my own I wouldn't have paid for the class. Disappointed.

This is a literature class, and ALL he talks about is film! This is ridiculous. I'm an English major, not into film. I don't understand a thing he talks about. He picked a textbook that the school didn't order enough of, he doesn't answer any questions, moves too fast on quizzes, and doesn't help any on papers/book issues/comprehension.

ENH255 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

I really enjoyed this class. Craig's knowledge and passion in the subject offers a lot. I would recommend this course to anyone who loves film and literature. The textbook is required and you must be willing to look at the text critically. It have a much deeper understanding of narrative structure of films and books now, it has been most helpfu

Jacobsen is one of the BEST ENGLISH teachers ever. One aspect that stands out the most is his ability to relate the topic to you and GIVE CLEAR and SPECIFIC examples. He is very helpful and is willing to work with his students. The course work load is perfect, enough to get an understanding of the material, but not enough to fall behind.

Extremely sarcastic and hilarious. Even though I was taking the honors section, it was still very easy, yet you still learned alot. He helps you every step of the way, and most of his classes have room for you to make him go off in tangents. Challenges anyone's perception of what an English class is; recommended even for non English-majors.

I took the Horror Lit class aka the "Zombie"class, and it was the best decision I've made at MCC thus far. The whole class is watching Zombie movies, and taking quizzes--there's a few wiki articles you have to write, and a paper due at the end of class, but nothing major. He's hysterical, and sarcastic, and makes the class so much fun. Go Romerica!

I enjoyed him so much in 102, i took him again for 200. He's such a sarcastic and funny guy. If you ask him for help he will help you. He responds to emails in a timely manner and has a forgiving grading system. If i would ever take another english class, it would definitely be with this guy!

Winter intersession. Online class. Seems sarcastic and easy going. Very strict deadlines. Lots of work with no room to fall behind. Must turn in all assignments to receive passing grade. No late work or short assignments permitted. Do not take this class if you procrastinate. Do not take this class if you get offended easily. Good topics though.

I'm taking this class online during winter intersession and while it's not difficult material, it is time consuming. I work full time and the assignments are all due before 11:30am daily! There are 7 books and 4 movies required for the class. The teacher has been helpful, but this class should not be taken over winter if you have other obligations.

He was extremely helpful. Definitely better than my eng101 prof. He was always willing to help. He made it easy for me to write the 1200 word long papers. I got out of there with an A. He is very sarcastic and fun to just sit down and have conversations with. I'd recommend him any day!
