Great Professor. Def molded my Freshman year at CSI for me. Teachers following him have big shoes to fill! Really cares about his students. Not an easy A though but you will learn Spanish. I enjoyed his stories bc as a parent I found I could relate. Recommend if you want to LEARN and not just have an EASY A! Took him for Spn113 and Spn114!

Good professor. He'll make you work in his class though, and he'll call on you randomly, so you can't fool around. He takes the class very seriously. He tends to ramble, but for the most part he teaches well. Take him, but don't expect to do nothing all semester and get an A

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! MADE SPANISH AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET. HE REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS AND IS VERY FAIR! I RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYONE THAT HAS TO TAKE SPANISH!!!!

I had prof. Abad for SPN 113 and 114. He was great for both classes and I learned a lot! He really does care about his students and does whatever he can to see them achieve. He said in SPN 113 that he treats everyone like he would treat his grandkids , and he really did. Great man, great professor! Gives great test reviews 2, Highly recommend him!

I loved taking this class, took him two semesters in a row and he is a very nice man, makes the environment in the classroom feel like a big family and very approachable, best spanish teacher i ever had in my years of learning the language. Attendance is mandatory by the way, which didn't bother me, if you miss a class you'll be lost.

He's a generous & very caring teacher He takes attendance very seriously. I'm not saying good things just cause I got a high grade I don't even know what he gave me yet He cares about passing his students & he's very interested in different cultures Take Him! I started off at SPN 114 cuz I did gud on the placement test. He made it very easy for me.

A really wonderful professor. I have always struggled with Spanish and once I took his class I was flying through it. He's very helpful but the only downfall is a personal thing with him, he talks a bit too much about himself which a majority of us grumbled about.

He is great, you must take him. He helps students so much. He gives great reviews and curves his grades. On the first week I almost dropped the course because my spanish was lacking, I took 114 years ago but I stayed and got an A-. He is a great teacher and lenient.

An outstanding professor, you should take him if possible. He is a bit eccentric and tends to tell random anecdotes, but they are very interesting. Tests are reasonable, as is grading. Cons: The final term paper, while easy, may be tedious. There was WAY TOO MUCH online HW but I THINK that is the department's fault But it tells you the right answer

This professor is terrific, take Spanish w/him if you can. While true he's a bit egotistic, he truly cares about his students and you will definitely pass if you do the work .He went out of his way to accomodate me when I had problems with my ex and had to go to family court, missing the final. Won't take Spanish w/anyone but him!

He is one of the best Spanish professors at CSI.I had taken Spanish before and could never quite understand it.He really took his time explaining the lesson.He will also work with the students.If he sees that your working hard he will pass you.Just make sure you do all the homework and attendance is important.Test aren't that difficult.

The spanish i know today is all from Abad. He was very helpful and wanted you to learn. He made us appreciate what the language really means compared to english. Also, if you know arabic, its very similar to spanish.

He's a very passionate and caring man. He talks about his family, granddaughters, wife a lot. Doesn't want to fail anyone - so if you try your best you will pass. The only exception is if you don't give a crap, then that will leave him with no choice. Although I thought I should have received higher, maybe at least an A-, but I guess B+ is okay...

Very good professor. Talks about his grand daughters alot. Really doesnt want to fail anyone. Very good at teaching. Only downside is there is a project at the end that you must make an oral presentation on. Otherwise, I give him an A+

Yea he is deffinetly full of himself he talked about how smart he is for about 20 minutes each class. He even passed around his transcripts that are like 20 years old. He really just sucks as a teacher but he is a great grader. He really doesn't want to fail anyone.I dont know a word of spanish and I suck at it but he gave me a good grade.

This professor is very full of himself, he'll go ON AND ON about how smart he thinks he is. Let us out WAY too early and wasn't thorough whatsoever. Should really hire some more preofessional-type people to teach.

This is one of the best Professor's at CSI in the Language department. Not only does he take his time explaining the lesson he will also work with the students. I had a difficult time with Spanish However, I was lucky to have him for 113&215. Nevertheless, anyone that truly wants to learn to speak Spanish Prof Abad is the man for the job!!
