She makes it a hybrid, even though the university says it isn't. Does not answer e-mails, tests are all her opinions and it you are a conservative like me, then your opinions are definitely not the same. If you don't have to, don't take her class.

This was a rough class because I took it in the summer. She was thorough and had a lot of insight. To babies on here whining about a 100 level course: Suck it up, cupcakes. Professors are not here to coddle you. Perhaps they are tough on you because they're trying to weed out the morons. Well played, professors.

Overall there were alot of issues. Students would seek help and responses were late if at all. I do not think she is a good professor. Sure you don't have to attend her class BUT it is better if you do because if you don't it is harder unless you read every chapter. Powerpoints are long and up usually late. Does not care if studens pass or fail.

Class met once a week. All homework was extra credit. She gives you study guides for the test and it takes forever to find the questions and the class average was like a 70.She never answeres emails so don't bother. Learned a lot and was very intersting.

I loved her as a professor! Although the class I took met one day a week and the rest was online, she was extremely helpful when I had questions! Make sure to read the textbook-just because it's an online class does not mean it's super easy. As long as you do all of the online work-she's great!

I loved this class! It was online one day and the we met in bulger the other day. All four tests are online and she gives you the study guide to do ahead of time with all the exact questions. She is very helpful even though it is lecture style, and gives many extra credit opportunities. Buy the book, it helps for tests. All work is extra credit!

You're only graded on 4 open book exams but that doesn't make this class easy. Attendance isn't mandatory so read the text and you'll do okay.

Attendance and homework are all extra credit but I reccomend doing them because they help you with the test. She gives you study guides but it takes forever to find all the answers and even with the answers you never get a 100. She never responds to your emails so don't even bother! Her class was very intersting!

Dr. Schmidt is the best professor!! Her classes are interesting. She gives you all the test questions and some of the answers before every test and is very helpful.

great professor. attendance is extra credit but it's worth it to attend class. 4 online exams, study guides have all exam questions on it

Terrible class, terrible teacher. Exams were thoroughly studied for using the powerpoints from class and text material, each and every class has been attended, and yet me and several others were still unable to get over a 75 in any of the exams. Teacher is useless. Also requires a $50 access card for an unnecessary website, when ANGEL can be used.

Attendance is extra credit. She gives you a review guide w/ all the questions that will be on the test, word for word. Clicker quizzes are also extra credit. Perfect Attendance= higher grade. It's an easy course! She's an easy teacher!

Best class this semester. requirements are clear, attendence is extra credit, test questions are on review sheet and online,uses utube to keep ppl interested while teaching. Love the teaching methods!!

Was the worst graduate class I have ever taken. Can not believe she is even the department chair. Never was prepared for in class and online classes. She canceled classes. Never gave us our grades, so the end of the semester was a big surprise. Should be ashamed of teaching at the graduate level.

great professer, i changed into major because of this class. teaches alot about different races and cultures. all test questions given before exams and all classwork on Angel, attendance is not required even though it's worth it

dont EVER take this class. even after the year is over she still screws you. i worked very hard on a 10 pg extra credit paper, did well on the exams and she still gives me a C for no reason. i emailed her to find out why and here we are 2 months later with no reason and no feedback on my xtra credit. terrible teacher and person...AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

one of the best classes i've had at this school, and i'm a senior who's been to 4 colleges. expectations are clear and straightforward, all aissgnments (easy exams) given at start of semester. large lecture class can be a drag but uses humor & utube to keep things moving. downside is large class, same idiots asking ??s all the time. bring laptop

well they only allow 350 characters so ill keep this short but sweet. she is a terrible prof! she is a person who thinks her s**t dont stink. she cannot take constructive criticism. she shuns you for it. exams are posted 2 weeks late. in class sessions are pointless. she has no way of keeping your interest at all. try your best not to take her clas
