POL335 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Spike is very passionate about her teaching and gender studies. If you are not willing to be open minded you all have a tough time with this course. As long as you do well on each quiz everyday and actually read her required books you will do OK on the exams.

POL335 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Honestly, one of the best teachers I have ever had. She really cares about the subject. It's more of a concept class compared to a lecture where you take boring notes. I had no interest in gender issues until now.She doesn't baby her students to do all this work. its Manageable. Do not miss the chance to have her as your instructor.

Pol433 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I recommend Spike to all of my poli sci friends. Her teaching style makes complex concepts easy, interesting and applicable to the real world. Also, her passion for the subject is contagious. Seriously, my UA experience would have been missing something if I had skipped out on this course.

INDV101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Good class that brings up a lot of relevent topics. She wasn't the most scientifically minded person, which was frustrating at times when she couldn't reference her data, but ultimately the class is relevent. Be careful taking this class if you are at all conservative. Just do most of the readings and get to know the TAs, and you should be fine.
