Gov20 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

If you like highly structured classes then Ward Elliott is not for you. With that being said, he is a fun and engaging professor. Take his intro gov class if you already have a firm understanding of American politics.

PPE120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Professor Elliott is amazing. I felt the need to post this review because I've worked closely with him and have gotten to know him well. He is a mine of information- he can be a bit mysterious and unclear at times, but in the end, you will get much higher returns on your time investment with him than you would with another prof.

Gov20 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I wish I'd taken Kesler instead. WE didn't make his expectations very clear, so his grades seemed arbitrary. He didn't understand that Gov 20 being a GE meant we weren't all political junkies. Generally frustrating and unaware, but willing to correct problems we brought to his attention.

GOV 172 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

law and social change with ward elliott was one of my very favorite class/professor combinations ever at the 5Cs. very knowledgeable, occasionally unclear, but earnest and clearly interested in the subject. lack of left-leaning bias was a breath of fresh air...now if only pomona would hire professors like this! i recommend this class to anyone.

Con Law Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: B-

He doesn't normally teach Con Law, so maybe I just had a bad experience, but AHH!!! Terrible class. Prof didn't teach, just told random, amusing stories. Over and over. Although funny, I learned NOTHING. Final was ridiculously hard and covered material I had never SEEN. Wouldn't say anything about material or test formats in advance. Useless class.

Gov 91 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Elliott is a bit kooky, but overall a good teacher. Very Socratic lecture style, but he is genuinely interested in his students and the material. Will work you hard, though, and not realize it. Everyone should take at least one Elliott class at CMC, he's an institution unto himself.

Prof Elliott is willing to help you understand almost anything unclear, and brings his classes to life with real world examples. He has taught at CMC for many years and is respected by faculty and students alike. Hard to get into his classes.

An institution unto himself. He's like a friendly version of Lurch from "Addam's Family." Incredibly knowledgeable and accessible; and his house is just a few blocks from campus. His classes are limited, though.
