CENG 15 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: A

Prof. Lubarda is very caring and knowledgeable. Although his lecture might be boring and reading the book can help you a lot, he is still a good prof with his passion. He is very nice. Never tries to trick you. Midterms and finals reflect HW materials. Lab hours help a lot with HW problems. In SPRING 14 he gave out 2 random attendance extra credits

CENG 15 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: A+

Professor Lubarda is very knowledgeable but not that good at lecturing. The class is quite easy if you go to lab hours to finish homework once a week. Tests are mostly from homework. He also takes two random attendance for extra credit.

NANO 150 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He is a fun and decently engaging lecturer, but the material was often scattered and didn't help on homeworks a great deal. The content was also pulled from a textbook that he didn't provide us with. He answers questions during class, but I've heard that he is dismissive and rude if you try to visit him during office hours.

CENG 15 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Really bad lecturer, lots of information that isn't useful. I would recommend going to discussion though. TA is good. Class isn't as easy as everyone makes it seem, I think there was a big change in policy. Not too rough of a class though. I honestly though would avoid going to lecture.

SE101A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Professor Lubarda is one of the most interesting professors and he always seems to be joyful while teaching. Makes the bigger picture easy to understand. Great Professor. But you will put some work in to get an A

MAE9 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He's really not that great of a professor, but the class is fairly easy to get an A in since the TA's give all the answers to the homework during lab hours.

Lubarda's cool and Matlab's not that hard. His English is accented b/c he's from Montenegro, but still understandable. He's entertaining in an unpredictable way - just random things he says/does. He goes through the book examples in lecture, so read the book and you don't have to go. Go on the day before the midterms and the final, though.

Funny and amusing guy; okay for teaching this class for the first time. Read the book and class will be relatively easy. Note: the required book is the 1st edition, but some of the homework is based on the 2nd edition (which contains a separate and detailed chapter on vectorization). Use the 2nd edition copy or the ebook on UCSD's course reserves!
