I took this class because it was GenEd. He made it very interesting but it requires some work. The class isn't very hard but you have to go to class to make an A. I had an A in the class but when he added the attendance points I end w/an 89 and he wouldn't round it to an A. If you like going to class, I highly recommend this class. Crockett rocks.

I loved taking this course with Crockett. His lectures sometimes drag on but he never fails to keep student interest. There are lots of reading materials for this class but they are very interesting and many people still make an A in the class even without reading every word of every book assigned. Take this class without a doubt.

I really loved this class. Crockett showed the class religion from a different standpoint. We did read a lot in the class but the books were interesting. He was very nice and tried to help in every way possible. I highly recommend Crockett! I almost changed my major to religion because of this course.

Dr. Crockett is a very nice guy. Super helpful and interested in his topics! You have to read books (no textbook) and write essays every other week, sometimes every week. Grades decent as long as you make an effort. Final consisted of 4 essays given ahead of time. Great guy, great class. I learned a lot!

I love this teacher, all of his lectures entertained me at least a little bit. His reading response papers are super easy to get a good grade on. He is very understanding if you are having issues with assignments and you go to him personally in his office and talk about it. I would definitely take Crockett again!

Great teacher! The lectures are boring and he never lets out early but over all, he wants you to succeed. There are 10 1 page responses. You can do them 10 minutes before class and still get all 10 points. The 3 papers are a different story. I worked hard on them and got B's on each one. He gives you the questions for the final a week before.

He sucks. He is hard and grades incredibly hard. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Exploring Religion is a general education course, and he graded the papers like we actually cared about the bazaar religions he talked about. Any other religion professor would be better than him.

This class really isn't THAT hard, but it's pretty hard to get an A. I did minimal work and got a B. We had 10 1 page papers, 3 3-page papers, and a final consisting of 4 essays that he gave you 2 weeks prior to the test. His lectures can be a bit boring, but as long as you get the basic idea, the weekly papers are easy to get full credit on.

Good teacher, easy class. Couple of books to read throughout the semester, class is just discussion over book but attendance is part of your grade. A lot of writing, but its simple and easily graded. He makes religions easy to understand and is really unbiased which is unusual for religion teachers. It can be kind of boring, but overall an easy A.

Professor Crockett is awesome! Here's the class broken down: you have to read about 5 books and then after each book write a paper over the question he asks. They are SUPER easy papers! Easy peasy lemon squeezy! He's really friendly and quite humorous. I would recommend him to ANYONE!!

I've been his student for several classes. He's an excellent teacher who tries very hard to actually help his students. Talk to him early and often and he can help you through anything! He's really brilliant. The readings are the best for what he's trying to teach-so read them!

Completely abstract but hes a nice guy and a great instructor. A little difficult for a gen ed. I wouldnt take him if you only want an easy A because that wont happen. However, if you want to take a fun class and learn a lot the go for it.

He is a nice guy but has a hard time explaining what he wants. He makes the class interesting and open to discussion for participation points. If you are not a talker you can write one page summaries over the reading. Two papers, midterm and final all essay. The questions are kind of abstract but works to you advantage. Got an A didn't wasn't hard.

He's very abstract and hardly ever makes sense. I feel like i'm in a graduate school class instead of a freshman level class...you definitely have to put in a lot of time.

I that his class was a pretty easy class. As long as you take notes during class you don't even have to read the books. He does have participation points though. He only gives 2 paper assignments and 2 tests midterm and final. Both tests are essay though. Over all a good class and teacher.

Nice guy. No textbook for the class/class based on 5 novels. Read them if you want to participate in class (which counts for 100% points). 2 3-page essays, 1 midterm, 1 final. A few one page summaries on reading assignments. Also gives 100% points for attendance, so show up to class. Not a hard class at all.
