Bob chose the best documentaries on film I have ever seen. He is so knowledgeable and if you are serious about film you will love this class with him. I will warn those who are taking the class to coast, you need to move on. His class seems easy until exam time. If you don't do the reading, just drop now.

Love Mr.Irvin, he is so easy going,sends out a good vibe to the class. He is very helpful and funny! Film is not my thing, I have a hard time remembering names. So even though the class was easy, I had a hard time remembering actors, directors and cinematographer names. Over all he is just a great teacher!

I learned allot in this course, it is tough class so pay attention! I'm not a avid novel reader so the reading will overwhelm the average magazine reader. Other than that if your a techy person looking for more this is the class for you.

This guy was such a blast! I took his 8 wk course and attendance and being on time is mandatory as well as the book, def needed first week of class! Quizes every class period and reading each chapter assigned is not a choice. show up have a sense of humor and READ youll pass! One of my fav teachers of all time!

He assigned us tons of reading, and quizzed us on it every class. I did all the reading and even made flashcards, and still found his quizzes hard. However, he is a very understanding teacher. I stressed to him how I needed an A, and he was very helpful. Hes a really funny guy and I def. recommend him.

This was a class I would take anytime. It was fun and interesting. It was fun and I felt the professor had a passion for the subject.

He was a real funny and lively teacher, but he never taught anything. He had us read the book and then come in and take the test on that chapter, then watch a movie. So its basically a home class, that you go in to take test lol I needed someone to teach me not direct me.

His Intro to Film class is easy if you read & understand the book. There's a total of 12 quizzes (1 per week) based on reading. Be sure to ask easy extra credit questions during the quizzes so everyone can get it correct. Also, 1 essay is due at the end & you get to choose what movie to write about. I wish he showed us modern action-packed movies!

He was a very funny teacher. I took the class on a whim and I enjoyed it. He has 12 tests and 1 essay for the whole semester for his Intro To Film class. The book is an easy read and he gives out a lot of extra credit that the students get to choose. An easy A.

I took his acting 1. and i had a lot of fun. but watch your back!!! dont be late or you will get a c like i did. oh and he will degrade you for bad spelling. just do the work, put in a bit of effort and you will have fun with this guy.

Made it fun. Let's students pick extra credit questions. Great sense of humor. You can only fail if you do not read the easy chapters or show up to watch a movie.

Easiest class I've ever taken. I had like 130%, he gives out extra credit like crazy and he lets the class ask the questions. The final are all the quiz's added up. Just read the book and you'll get an A+. He was moody some times but he was hella funny at times.

PROFESSOR IRVIN!! An amazing guy! Made class incredibly fun! He's my favorite professor on campus, hands down. I would love to take more classes from him, but I think he's tired of me :) He cares for his students. Don't dick around in class. Don't leave your cell phone on. Be an adult and you'll have a great time with Professor Irvin. HE'S SO GREAT

He is a great prof. and very fun. His classes aren't that hard, just pay attention and have something to say at the end of class when he wants to discuss the movie. I've always liked his classes.
Acting
A very helpful, straight forward gentleman. There is no dancing around the bush with him, if something needs improvment, he will let you know. Extrememly helpful, and absolutly hilarious, which helps in the wanting to stay in class.
