Although the class I took from him was a rather difficult class, I enjoyed having him as a professor. I disagree with the person that states he is cocky; the way I would describe his demeanor is confident. When I needed help on a paper he was there to help me, and as with every professor, if you do the work and participate, you will do just fine.

Like most religion professors at Concordia, Aageson is highly intolerant of views different from his own. He frequently cites "facts" that are untrue, is highly ambiguous/vague, and lectures with a contrived prestigue that comes off as snooty and cocky. He also proposes an "academic" study of religion that is devoid of inherent spiritual concepts

he would rather stand in the way your faith and learning than inspire you. and he's power-hungry in the classroom, you can't dare question his authority.

He's way out there, and really likes it when you read HIS book for class. I thought he was opinionated and sinister. Seriously, a religion prof who doesn't believe in the miracles of the Bible?!?! He actually was a pastor at one time! he takes pride in ruining peoples faith.

he appeares to have had favorites, & therefor, irregardless of how hard i worked in this class, i feel as if i was shortchanged at the end of the day. i do not think that he graded me fairly

The way he teaches Religion is way too in depth for me! Also, reading a book in his class that he wrote himself and being critical of other sutdent's views is NOT COOL! I hate the way he puts you on the spot!

Enjoyed this class very much! Great teacher! He doesnot make you believe what he does. He will share and show what/how other people think about the bible.
