What can I say. Dr. Guimond is an extremely awesome professor. Anatomy & Physiology is a tough subject but he made it relatively easy to do well in. Come to class with a recorder (GREAT HELP). Study in a systematic fashion and you will do well. When I say I put in work I put in work (I received an A-). STUDY EVERYDAY or else you will fail horribly.

Guimond does not play! Come to class, shut up, take notes and don't eat/drink. 86% of the material for the exams come from lecture. Exams are ~85 MC Qs, 2 essays and 5 vocab. Advice: record the class, take good notes, do well in lab. He is reasonable and will def be your fave prof, as long as you put in the work. It is possible to ace this class!

Guimond will grow on you and become a favorite prof. He is very knowledgeable and can be kind of hilarious at times. He is very clear on his expectations of you in the class. There are no surprises. Put in the work and you will do well. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I strongly suggest attending because his exams are 90% based on lecture notes.

Guimond is very thorough and every word that comes out of his mouth is fair game on a test. His strategy is to have you re-read and re-copy your notes after every class. "Repetition is the mother of retention" he'll often say, and it's true. I never used the book, tests are based on lecture notes.

Prof Guimond is DEF the BEST professor at UMB. As long as you study your notes everyday you will do fine! Nothing is a surprise as long as you study your notes word for word! There is ALOT of material to know and understand but if you study the way he tells you to there is no excuse to not do well!

He is genuinely a nice person, and only wishes well on all his students. However, it is important to note that he is an attorney and thereby follows a strict, coherent curriculum. You must put in 110% into this class or you will barely survive with a C. I am a Nursing major and I suggest taking it Dean in the summer if you get below a 78 on test #1

He is a fantastic prof, but the class is extremely challenging. You must put a lot of effort in. Study everyday and see him in office hours. Make sure you attend every class (even though it is not mandatory) and sit in the front. If he sees you being focuses and in every lecture he will remember that at the end of the semester. Good luck!!!

Professor expect A LOT from you, and the coursework is verz extensive. Do not walk in thinking you are smart and get good grades so you will get an A. Class is not mandatory, but if you miss even on, expect to get about 10 points off 1 of 3 tests you have. I learned so much in this class, it is unbelievable. Now that it is over, I am so happy!

One of the best professors here at UMB I think! The class is challenging (must study daily). However, Guimond is very friendly and approachable both in and out of class. Study hard, go to his office hours, get a tutor, and keep your cell phone off during class--you'll do fine :)

Best professor ever. He's very challenging, but the amount of knowledge you pick up from his courses is unbelievable. High quality course. What's great is there are no excuses. He gives you everything you need to know. He tries to be as helpful as possible, and teaches you how to study. He also encourages going to the lab for extra help.

If you follow his lead you can't do badly. LOTS of studying between lecture/lab. Make flashcards for absolutely everything. Go to open lab and to to his office hours after exams to go over them. If he sees you making an effort to do well he'll remember that at the end of the semester. Just study after every lecture until the exam and you'll do fine

Guimond made A&P I extremely straightforward. Notes/handouts are HEAVILY emphasized on tests. Don't waste time with other material like I did at first. If you know his notes almost word for word you'll do fine. A TON OF STUDYING involved. Other than that his handwriting is kind of bad. He also moves very fast sometimes, so don't slack off.

Everybody thinks he is hard, but he is not !! You just need to study his notes exactly the way he puts it, he doesn't throw anything he doesn't teach at you, like a lot of professors do. If you have some time to study, you'll be fine !!

He is a very good teacher. Study the way he tells you to. It is a very hard class content wise. He tries to make sense of everything, but sometimes just ends up going off on a tangent. Otherwise a very smart and insightful professor.

Guimond is, hands down, the best professor at UMASS. He knows what he is talking about and is very fair. He also keeps the mood light and is very approachable. Study, take awesome notes and record. Never used the book, only for the vocab. Warning!: Do not take H. Dean for the lab portion.

By far my favorite class at UMASS. Although this class was my hardest, I loved it and got so much out of it. As long as you go to class, take good notes, and study very hard, you will recognize almost every question on the test. They are word for word from your notes! DONT READ THE BAD REVIEWS ABOUT HIM. PUT IN EFFORT AND YOU WILL NOT DO POORLY!
