No point in going to class, you’re going to have to teach yourself anyway

Extremely dry lectures, almost impossible to pay attention for more than 4 seconds even with a coffee. He literally reads his print off notes exactly as they appear, the only thing you gain by going to class is hearing them in a Russian accent. I had to teach myself the entire course material from the textbook

His lectures are dull and hard to stay awake through, but his notes are really helpful. He has a dry sense of humour, but most people sleep though it!

VERY dry lectures. He teaches off some good notes, but tests are difficult. His monotonous drawl can put anyone to sleep.

Very smart but extremely dry lecturer. I ended up teaching myself out of the textbook. He doesn't seem to make an effort to see if the class is getting it when he lectures. Make sure you have a study group - as long as you do enough practice questions you'll be fine.

This prof knows his stuff, but is not an engaging teacher. He has a monotone and a very thick accent. Not a good combination for a person even mildly tired. His class notes are excellent, we just end up being taught off them, and he has a sense of humour, but he has to dig deep to find it. Overall, he is an awesome prof, IF you can pay attention.

Dr. Bluskov is very dry, but he is intelligent. It takes some getting used to but he wants you to pass and will take out a midterm or two if you do better on your final. After talking to him in his office, he seems really good and wants you to do well.

His notes make things very simple, but you still really have to make an effort, especially when trying to focus in class.

Dr. Bluskov is quite possibly the worst professor I have ever had. He talks in a freakishly quiet and monotone voice and his lectures are literally word for word renditions of his own hand-written notes which he expects you to purchase.

Good teacher. Quiet with a dry sense of humour. Dr.Bluskov is really approachable and listens to the question before developing an answer..unlike some other profs. The class is challenging but 'tis the nature of linear algebra. One note about the class: Do CPSC141 first, the logic of proofs make way more sense.

He is absolutly useless. I learn more from having a TA explain something to me for 10min then I do in a week of his lecture. He explains nothing and just reads his notes off the board. They are pre printed notes, but they are not even powerpoint, but scanned pages still as jpeg images and he has to zoom in and out. By far the worst prof ever.

He speaks i a low, montone voice that is really hard to understand. Listening to his lectures helped to cure my insomnia. Skipped most of the classes so that I could actually get some the homework done without falling asleep every afternoon.

Boring, doesn't care about teaching at all.. just reads his notes verbatim. The most boring class ever. At times you want to gnaw your own arm off so you have something to focus on. Makes the occasional joke tho.. those are funny

His lectures are dry, but he knows what he's talking about, is good at answering questions, and seems to have fair expectations.

His lectures can be dry, but if you try hard to pay attention you can really learn. He's also helpful with your questions when you visit him. Notes are available for purchase so you won't need to spend all your time writing down what's on the board.. and I guess that's what makes people sleepy during class...

Took his class about 1 year ago and let me first say that this man knows what he's talking about. However, this man will put you to sleep. When I was in his class, I would be so bored that I would actually count the number of people alseep in his class. Out of class of 150 people, only 40 at best showed up and usually 2-3 people would be asleep.
