COGS14a Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Class is dull mainly because the lack of statistics gives the proff little material to lecture on. No podcasts, attendance not req. Rambles a lot. AP stats really prepped me for this course, so it was my flaky class. If you haven't had stats will be a lot of pointless memorization. Conceptual questions on MTs. Boring. I<3stats D:take psych instead

COGS14 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Funny prof, uses nice ppts for lectures, talks mostly theoretical though. Go to sections (not mandatory) to learn actual hands on problems. 2 midterms, 1 final, you get one side cheat sheet for each midterm, full sheet for final. Book didn't really help, just do practice problems from TAs. 5 Pop quizzes in lecture, but very easy, just review notes!

COGS14 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Nuñez is a great professor, interesting and all, but material was boring. Pop quizzes (which are simple) make you go to lectures, but lectures are helpful since he (over)explains the concepts. 2 mterms and final, fairly cover material, cheat sheets allowed. Good sense of humor. Not being from US seldom shows in tests with vague language. Good prof.

Cogs14 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He recycles questions from previous exams. You learn more from the textbook, but he's not a boring lecturer. He does like to ramble. Sections(not mandatory) are helpful. Cheat sheets and a generous curve. Hands out EASY pop-quizzes during lecture. He postponed a midterm until after Sun God which gives him a bonus.

COGS101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Pop-quizzes make you go to class. Teacher is often hard to understand. He explains simple concepts with way too much complexity. Not very approachable, as he makes you feel stupid for not understanding his explanation. Very tough grader, with TAs who are also tough and not very approachable. I'm a COGS major and I will avoid his classes.

COGS101C Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

this class was brutal. no direction at all as to what to know and how to study. he says his test questions are "general" but its actually detailed. his tests say "briefly explain" and you get docked off for not enough info. TAs were useless. Despite all this, he is quite friendly outside the classroom.

COGS101C Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

He is not the professor that I would recommend for COGS 101C. The prof takes easily understandable ideas into something complex and confusing. He doesn't really seem kind in repeating things over for clarification.

Cogs14 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Exams are different, but doable. The class is tough, but there are so many compensations for that (cheat sheets, massive curves) so there's really no excuse for failing. There was no textbook req. but I found that I needed to use one anyway.

This class is reqd so it's pretty boring, but he really does make it as fun as he can. He's always traveling and so random people give lectures and that keeps it interesting. The worst part is he lets the kids ask a million picky questions. when we were talking about categories the class went crazy for an how about how the ex. wasn't prototypical
