Took 3 classes with him so far. He is such a cute man. So caring and wants you to pass. He just wants you to understand aboriginal troubles. He is not a harsh grader at all. His books are mandatory, but he doesn't really use them in test or anything. Mostly class discussions, which are interesting. Sometimes public presentations if small class

Very awesome guy. I have a lot of respect for him as he treats everyone equally and speaks the truth. He is very interesting to listen to (if you can hear him!!!). Has a lot of visitors which make the course very dynamic and multicultural. Although his TA is pretty rough on marking. All and all, loved this class.

Go to class, he doesn't talk to lound, but he explain abrigional really well (even if he is one) and he is really passion about it. Exams are open textbook, so it can be a easy A if you list so much and take the time to answer the question

Very caring, kind man. He will do everything in his power to help you get a good mark. He really just cares about students learning, not about all the politics associated with the university. He also appreciates it when you care about the topic. All around a great experience, a great prof, a great person.

Easiest course I've ever taken. Hated the prof though. Very arrogant and conceited. Didn't do all the readings, still got an A+. Perfect if you want an easy course.

Prof Sioui is a great professor, kind soul and good person. This was one of the best classes I have ever had the privilege of attending. With that being said, if you have difficulty hearing or picking voices out of other sounds as I do you may have trouble in this class, his voice is quite soft and can get lost in the other sounds of the classroom.

Professor Sioui is a prominent scholar in the history of Aboriginal societies and peoples. It's a great privilege to have him at UofO. He took us on a field trip to Akwesasne Mohawk Nation which was amazing, the midterm and final are open-book, he tells us the questions beforehand, and he is the most humble prof at the school. An amazing professor!

Great class if you want an A! The midterm and the exam are OPEN BOOK so make sure you buy the texts which are cheap and great reads anyway. He speaks very quietly, but the majority of the lectures are presentators. Be sure to attend classes before tests - he gives you the questions! Learned a lot of cool stuff. He's so sweet and polite. Reccomended

Such a caring person. I would recommend to everyone that they take his course or even switch to Aboriginal studies. Taking his course caused me to change my minor

Easily my favourite class - no question about it. He makes you feel welcome in his class, and your opinions and comments are always respected, even if they are different from his own. He is difficult to hear from the back of the class, but don't let that keep you from taking his class! A+++ Prof!

Amazing professor and person! So many accomplishments in his life! He cares so much about students, and he's very understanding. Quiet, but definitely worth listening to. Best use of guest speakers I've had in four years. Best field trip in four years. Very different teaching style - better than most. Very proud and traditional, but humble and kind

He is an awesome teacher. He can be quiet sometimes, but he knows what he is talking about, and he thanks everyone for coming to class, and appreciates that people want to learn about the First Nations. A really great guy, and everyone should take this course
