Tough course and she doesn't take her time on topics. Not the greatest teacher. Very helpful during office hours. I definitely recommend the book, there's stuff in there you'll need to know. Access part isn't that bad if you practice, project is tough, and REA diagrams I hated. Testing lab exams are all book based. In class exams for REA and Access

Professor Benford goes through the Access Lab portion fairly quickly, but if you're somewhat familiar with Access, you should be able to keep up. She stops very often to answer questions, even repeated questions, but she really wants you to learn. You use the textbook for the mid-term and the final as well as quizzes.

An easy class, esp. if you already know Access. I don't think Access programming should be an accounting requirement, but that's the primary focus. Nice, prompt at responding to Emails, answers all class questions. The class pace is slow, even in summer. Assignment data is sometimes incomplete or needs clarification. Constantly changes the schedule!

ACG4401 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

I really liked Professor. Sweet, caring, thoughtful and goes out of her way for students! She is there for you. You have to get up and help yourself. Course is challenging, but she provides all the necessary material. Success = read material before class, watch her videos, do all her assignments and ask questions. Take a tape recorder and team work.

This is one angry, condenscending, unprofessional woman. She always seems to be in a bad mood and wants students to fear her. When she teaches access so goes so fast you have to ask her to slow down and then she speeds up again. I know people who have taken this class 3 times. She either hates her job or hates her life. Don't take her !!

This class is tough, the Access exam and REA exam would have went way better if we had more time, that is my biggest complaint. The project is time consuming if your team sucks (you do all the work), don't expect grades in anything less than two weeks!

She is extremely helpful. Gives a lot of unnecessary and time consuming work. The projects are crazy hard and time consuming. You must start early. Tests are hard and consist of two parts. One part is in class the other is in the computer lab. Do not wait until the last minute to work on the projects. You will fail if you do!

she is ok, have to repeat her class... if something goes wrong with the work you turn it she wont let you know you will just end up with a 0. She made us practice sales on access for nothing when she made the test on inventory! why give it to us on sale when the test is on inventory and the computations are totally different!

I don't know if I could say Mrs. Benford was the "Best Teacher at UCF"--in fact not even close. I dropped the class and had to take it during the summer and it was dreadful. I wouldn't recomend a teacher who thinks that teaching how to make navigation buttons on Excel/Access is more valuable than teaching Flow Charts-something on the CPA exam!
