Dr. Maslak is by no means an easy teacher. But she is fair and she is more than willing to stay late offering to help you prepare for the practicals. You have to read everything! This class requires a commitment to studying. Be prepared for HARD exams. The book is your study guide. I am so glad I had this professor.

It's not an easy class, but you'll finish and actually know something! She's entertaining and tries to make the material relatable. Read the text AND her outlines. If she offers to stay after lab to practice quiz you or help you, take advantage of it! She does want you to learn the material! She also offers a LOT of extra credit! Great person too!

Where to start...dr mas. Is such a genuine person , I want to just hug her. I had for ap1/2 and her exAms are very hard. But, not only do I know my ap(fundamental class for rest of my college/career) better than most, Iearned how to take tests. Huge skill! Her notes, are about the best summary of the text you'll ever find. Read both text and book, and study her notes. People rate her poorly, but I can say first hand, very seldom does anyone stay late after lab for her morethanwilling help.

She is very hard. Expect to have to know her 10-15 page chapter notes, AND read the book. She says things on her notes will be on the test, that is false. Her test are solely based off the book. She is all over the place and likes to refer to animal parts for everything. This is HUMAN Anatomy and Physiology not animal anatomy and physiology

Very hard teacher. Great person but I do not recommend taking her for A&P. Expects you to know things she barely discussed and is very scatter-brained.

Basically keeping with my comments from A&P 1 I think Dr. Maslak makes a very hard subject understandable and she is willing to do study sessions before class and stay all of the time in lab even when everyone else has left if you need time with the models or have questions she is there to help you pass if you let her help

Dr. Maslak is a teacher who has a very broad subject that has a lot of intricate pieces to teach and I think she does it well. A&P 1 is not supposed to be easy Dr. Maslak takes the subject and breaks it down in her notes adding things that will help you understand the subject. I love her ability of adding storys into her lesson to help you learn

Take Reedy or Maslak for A&P; they are the best. Don't be a roody-poo either. Smell what The Rock is cooking, man up, & read the book thoroughly. Take advantage of the book's online resources and Maslak's study sessions. She goes out of her way to make time for those who are asking for the people's elbow!!

She's a great teacher who makes the material fun. Anyone on here who complains that you "have to know every detail"... that's just how A & P is. Ask anyone who's gotten an A.

Beware! Do not take this professor if you have other obligations...ex.work,kids,a life. You MUST teach yourself, and a tape recorder is highly recommended. She goes off of her notes but her exams are straight from book so you must read the entire text. Don't be tricked by the notes she provides,it seems great but you'll end up failing

Absolutely awful. Took it over summer and it was terrible. NO idea what someone was talking about who said she tells you what's going to be on tests/quizzes. FALSE! ONLY time I learned ANYTHING from her was during the 5 min reviews before class. In AP2 now, and feel I learned NOTHING needed for this class. This A student STRUGGLED for a B.

Took this class over the summer of 2010. Summer courses are a lot of work but Dr. Maslak is understanding of that and allows for "real life" to occur. Her lectures are a little scattered but she is forthright in saying what will be on the test and that she relies heavily on the book. grades fairly. will set up extra time to work on difficult ?s.

I do not recommend taking a class with her. She copies everything almost verbatim out of the book and does not break anything down. She expects you to know every single detail, when all of the other A&P professors tell you what is most important to know in a chapter. As a person, she's great--- but as a professor, not so much!

I am sure Maslak is a wonderful person but she is one of the worst teachers that I have ever had! I ended up having to drop the class due to family illness and am now taking A&P I with another teacher and I am learning more now then I ever did with Maslak. She should not be teaching A&P at all.

Dr. Maslak is a fantastic professor! She really knows her stuff. She truly cares that her students do well but doesn't spoon feed you the material. I feel some reviewers have been unfair in saying that she caters to the needy and ignores the more intelligent.I have never felt like that and I have an A in the class.Maybe she just ignores the whiney!

Dr. Maslak is a very intelligent person who really knows and loves biology. But, I don't know that she is able to teach all that she knows--basically, read the book and come to class to find out what she will ask on the test. She'll tell you everything you need to know.
