I really liked his class i dont understand why people are complaining. Yeah, he gets off topic but his class was super easy. He gives extra credit was is fairly easy, in addition he drops a test. And his class is mandatory. I made an A in his class. To which I would always study the day prior so take him and you'll get an easy A.

He is a nice man, and he is willing to help you if you reach out to him. Class is not mandatory, but most of his tests are based on his lectures so it is best if you do attend. He gets sidetracked a lot, but other than that he's not a bad teacher.

This professor has had an incredibly interesting life, and he talks about it a lot. He teaches you nothing during lectures, but he doesn't need to. The tests are 50 questions and he gives you half of them to study before the exam. He drops the lowest test grade and offers tons of extra credit. The class is boring but take it if you want an easy A

HORRRRRRIBLE! DO NOT TAKE. HE ONLY GOES THOUGH 2 SLIDES THE WHOLE CLASS AND DOESN'T CLARIFY ANYTHING. HE TALKS MORE ABOUT HOW AWESOME HE IS AND TELLS USELESS STORIES. WARRING YOU, DO NOT TAKE.

Unnecessarily difficult and confusing. Even after studying tests are convoluted and overly detailed. Was an A+ student until this course, very much hurt my GPA. Unless you are capable of memorizing chapters of text about TX gov't, would find different prof. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Only for students who already love/understand government.

Millsap is a horrible professor.. Great person with interesting stories.. but really, REALLY, the worst professor I have ever had. Do not take this man. He is so boring in class, and the lectures are useless.

Has a lot of experience and knowledge with government. Sometimes he gets out of subject with his lectures but he does cover everything. He gives you test reviews which contain about 20-25 ACTUAL questions from the test. Each test I took was multiple choice and had 50 questions. There's extra credit opportunity. You will need the book.

He is a great teacher, very passionate with lots of real world experience. He is clear about what will be on his exams. That being said, study hard, he's a sneaky old man with his test questions. Really enjoyed the class.

My grades were good enough for me to be exempt from the last month of class. Awesome! His optional extra credit project made the difference for me. I had a good experience.

Professor Millsap is a genuinely good guy, however I do feel as if his lectures are pointless. It's true that he mainly talks about himself rather than cover the material. He's endearing, but not someone I'd want as a prof. If you do the chapter reviews and memorize all the info on the ppts, you can make an A. His class isn't hard, just tedious

Once you realize what he expects, the class is easy. First test=C. Second test=A. He WILL tell you exactly what is on the test and what to study. Few professors will do this. Attention to detail is key. If you can follow simple instructions you WILL pass. I put in little effort and make decent grades. Tons of experience/insight.

..if you wait till the last minute to answer the CH review questions. Also there is an extracredit opportunity that is seemingly impossible with all the requirements it has. I unfortunately didn't have the time time to put in. If you're into politics and don't have a heavy load then I guess you should be fine.

..his views on the class. The tests are composed of CH review sheets and notes from lecture. The first test had 3 CH sheets each having 40 questions from which he only used 20-25 questions from and the rest were from lecture. Reading the book is a must and going to class also because all the info isn't on the slides. This class can be much work..

I personally don't like this professor. If you are a Polysci major then maybe you should take him and you'd like the class. In class he goes off on tangents very often and ends up wasting most of the class time and then rushes through a few slides with 5 minutes left. Also he is very opinionated and one sided with a lot of issues and imposes ..

I absolutely dreaded dragging myself to this class. A lot of people like him, but I prefer professors who get straight to the point. The entirety of his lectures were about himself. My suggestion is if you have to take him, do the study guides early, print off PP slides, then in lecture highlight things he says will be tested and take a few notes.

Good instructor. Drops lowest of 4 test grades and offers extra credit that can raise grade by an entire letter. Lectures are interesting but not everything he talks about will be on the test. You will have to do some studying in this class, but it isn't difficult.

Worst teacher i have ever had. completely pointless going to class. half of the test material he does not go over and makes it from the book. his final is over a slide show and 3 chapters from the book, which he only went through half the slide show. he ends up talking about himself the entire class with made up stories that can not be true.

Millsap is one of my favorite professors. I loved going to class to hear about his life stories and lectures. The class is easy as long as you take notes from his lectures. About 40% of each test comes from information in the book. He gives an extra credit opportunity that can boost your final grade by nearly a whole letter grade. Take his class!

Very easy as long as you attend all classes and write down important things that he says. If you read the assigned chapters and do the reading questions he assigns then you will get an A on the test. He is also extremely helpful if you have any questions about anything relating to government

Do the multiple choice reviews. 40-50% of test is straight from this. The rest is mainly from the power points. Memorize those word for word. 5% or less comes from videos in class or articles he assigns. Offers EC which boosts grade up a whole letter! Got an A+ without doing EC. Dropped 1 out of 4 tests(including final).
