ENGL 566 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Hurley is such a role model! So smart and generous and caring and funny and fabulous. Even though she could've easily lectured for the 3 hours and kept the class more than satisfied that way, she always wants to hear her students talk MORE, and for the classroom to take on a life of its own. Amazing prof!!

Professor Hurley has magical powers. She is also way, way too smart.

ENGL230 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Speaks too fast, classes never recorded and notes are not posted so you must be a good note taker. it's sometimes hard to catch her points. Exams are challenging. Assignment marking seemed vague since she never clearly provided marking scheme or what she was expecting.

Assignments were pretty straightforward and well marked. I really enjoyed the lectures, and Prof. Hurley loves when students participate. Really great atmosphere.

definitely lively and interested, but found her pretentious; seemed like she was trying to impress the class. tended to use very complex words when she could have been succinct, went out of her way to pronounce foreign words, even ones that exist now in english, according to the language of their provenance.very tough, ambiguous multiple choice exam

Most engaging lecturer I've had so far. She clearly is interested in getting to know and engage her students. Great course, just make sure you keep up with the readings!

engl700 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Witty, warm and intelligent. She kept our grad seminar on performance theory exciting, which was quite impressive considering it involved a)a 9:30 am start and b) graduate students. Rarely do those things mix well. I highly recommend her, she's engaging and open to discussion.

Very hard marker. Do not take her for an introduction level class, it's more like a graduate level class. Also... cold.
