This class is very hard. Although I got an A I busted my butt. I would study for hours. She is a good teacher but make sure that you read your book!! many people fail because they don't read it helps you APPLY the material. She has extra credit quizzes and assessments; so your grades aren't just tests. Be prepared to work hard. You can do it.

I had a very hard time understanding what she lectured about. She seems nice but is one tough cookie. Understanding the power points and lectures is not enough for the test You have to memorize the whole book. I would not recommend her.

i loved that she was very passionate about biology. Her first three tests are semi easy, but you HAVE to study study study! Study the book, her test are very detailed! the fourth and fifth were the hardest test. This bio class is NOT an easy A! and she doesnt drop the lowest grade. test average were never higher than a 75%

This professor is extremely helpful and nice. She doesn't have any rude moments. She wants her students to learn. You do however have to study and her notes on the board and power points in D2L are helpful for quizzes and tests. Easy class so TAKE HER!!!!

This Professor is Awesome. I realized after two weeks that I did not want to take Biology anymore, however, this class was not difficult at all. Put it this way, I studied sometimes the day of the Midterms and I passed the class. She offers extra credit so that helped me too. But if you like Bio and want an A or B, take her.

I am a senior at UM now, but I had Dr. Ayala for bio at Broward before I transferred. I felt compelled to come back here and update my review of Dr. Ayala. I cannot even begin to tell you how her class has helped prepare my for my upper level classes. She is an amazing resource and if you are serious about bio you will use every single tiny detail that she has taught you for the next few years. We have amazing professors at UM but Ayala ranks right up there with the best of them. Take her class!

HAd her for Micro Lab. She is very helpful. Hard lab but will help you understand and she really cares if you care. Don't miss lab or come in late she does not tolerate that. Try and if you need help ask her only if you put the effort in. Great professor. I recommend her to anyone taking Micro

She is wonderful. I took her online course. This was a hard subject for me, but she found a way for me to actually like the subject. I would advise reading her notes and reading the book. Some topics on the exams are not covered in detail in the notes, but they are in the book. If you need a science class, she is a must if you want to do well.

I had her for lab, amazing professor! As long as you attend every class and pay attention, you should get an A or B, but you'll definitely learn a lot of really interesting stuff too! If you skip class you won't do well. She truly cares about her students and always helps everyone to understand and do well. Bonus: she's beautiful! I love her!
