psc312 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Way better than people give credit for. Not too great at explaining assignments, but all you need to do is ask. Class is super simple: a lecture about the cases followed by reactions/opinions from the class. Attendance not really mandatory. Seems distant from students but just make an effort. Maybe not a lively class, but manageable overall.

PSC101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Awful professor. Very boring and gives little to no feedback. Easy to get a B but impossible to get an A. Don't buy the textbooks; you won't need them. Killed any interest I had in Political Science.

He's a nice guy. Lectures can be rather dull, but he does try to foster discussion. Grade is based on 4 opinion papers, a midterm, and a final. It's not hard to do well, but it's nearly impossible to get a A. Definitely take advantage of his office hours if you are unhappy with one of your grades.

PSC101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

This guy is horrible. He doesn't care about his students and will not read your papers. If you ask him a question about your paper he will just tell you that he needs to reread it. Every time i got a paper back he would simply just circle two words and give me a C+. Unless you are content with a C+/B- I would avoid this guy. An A is impossible.

Class was ridiculously easy. Romans was very boring and sometimes hard to follow, but if you know anything at all about politics you are going to get an A

Dont even buy the textbooks. Class is so boring. If you show up and do the couple essays then you'll get a B like everyone else in the class. If you're looking to get a free passing grade then this a good class to take. But if you're trying to get an A then take a teacher with an actual grading system.

AG101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

I love American Government and Romans teaches all the great courses. I enjoyed debating with Romans. I wasn't a fan of his grading system but I really enjoyed the subject matter. I think every Political Science major needs to focus more on American Government and less on International. We need to learn about what makes this country great.

My problem with Romans isn't as much with his annoying personality, but with the fact that everyone receives the same grade on their essays. B's for everyone! Go to him for help and he tells you to consult the textbook. Probably the worst professor I've had at PC so far.

I took Romans for the Politics of the Legislative Process and also for Civil Liberties. He was always intellectually challenging and didn't suffer fools gladly. So if you're foolish and not interested in the subject matters he teaches and you don't like to read and write or you do it poorly then stay away.
