This is the second time I have taken Dr. Sullivan, as I also had her for Chem 111. She gives ALOT of assignments but is liberal with the grading. As long as she sees you trying she is willing to help you and is more likely to give you a better grade. I do appreciate the assignments, though. The material can be tough and the practice is good.

This class was time consumng due to all the work we had to however. I took this in the summer so we had alot of information to get in. If you love chemistry youll love this class if you dont care for it then your feelings will remain the same. I passed the class and didnt take one of the TEST and recieved a 0. So overal easy class.

I took her and have been incredibly disappointed. She is inconsistent with sig-figs (then docks you points for following the number she used in the prompt). Several quiz ?'s are just wrong. Asks for observations, then counts wrong when what you observed wasn't what was supposed to happen. For a self-proclaimed "perfectionist", she falls short

A lot of small assignments, but everything is graded very liberally and due dates are flexible. A master list of what work needed to be completed would be invaluable. Her lectures were very clear.

She presents the info well in the classroom and is very knowledgeable but she is very disorganized.I took her hybrid class and spent a lot of time searching three different websites for what was due and when.

She is very nice and wants to be helpful. The difficult thing for me was that I took a hybrid class and she posts things in multiple places but they are not always the same document and I never knew which one to follow. She is very smart but that doesn't always translate to efficient learning.

There is a lot of work, but she grades very liberally and if you keep up with the work you'll be on track for an A. The tests are challenging, but the final is much much easier. Only take this professor if you have the time to dedicate to doing well.

Ehh, a lot of work but overall the class itself is easy because you can do all the work and you pretty much will do fine even if you fail tests....she is random but fun

I found her to be one of the most likeable, knowledgeable and inspiring professors I've ever had. She knows her stuff. She gives TONS of assignments, labs, etc -- although many of them were small in size. However, this is probably the only reason I kept on track with the content. I'd take her again in a second despite how much time I spent studying

Work load is more than I've ever experienced in 5 years of college, but if you do it all, you can do bad on the tests and still come out ok. Seems like she undestands that not everyone is a chem major, so good teacher for getting a pre-req out of the way. Also, you could prob. do fine without buying the text- only used it for reference.

This class is an extraordinary load of work. Only take it if you're taking only one or perhaps two easy classes. There is a lab report every week using excel and writing conclusions and 2 long formal reports. There are multiple assignments due for every class. She's great if you go see her one on one, but in class she justthrows some theory at you

I took her High School level(01)Chemistry class online. She requires alot of work, but not hard work, except for the test.I found them to be challenging. She is a very helpful teacher, and if you have questions all you have to do is ask her. Her online class doesn't have mandatory meetings like it says. There optional.

The only Chemistry professor to take at JSRCC. The class is not easy but she offers extra credit for test and she gives alot of work which prepares you for test.I still hate chemistry, but Dr.Sullivan is a great professor.

I took this class online, which was hard anyway, but she was very helpful and always able to answer questions. She also offered a study session for extra time. The tests are hard but if you stay on top of you labs, quiz's, and other assignments you will do fine overall. Don't be worried when you look at the work load it's not as much as you think

Now i read the comments before i decided to take dr sullivan, but she is much harder then what people write. Her test ave. 50-70 over the past 10+ years shes been teaching so what does that tell you?? I dont recommened anyone take her unless you have already taken chemistry...of any sort because she talks to you as if you have already taken it!

Dr. Sullivan is a great teacher. You can tell she really loves what she does and she can explain science inside and out any way you want.

I have NOTHING negative to say about Mrs. Sullivan. She is knowlegeable, helpful, easy to understand, fair, loving, and dedicated. Chemistry is hard, so you have to put in work. But she understands that and is supportive the whole way through. I highly recommend her to both science and non science majors!
