Nice guy but incompetent. I got an A but don't know and forecasting. I'll have to learn it on my own for my capstone project.

ECON477 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Go to every class and take notes. The book is not used but instead as a reference. The exams questions can be unexpected. It is open note but you had better know the material before the exam if you are to do well. He is also very helpful and will respond to e-mail questions on the weekends and at later hours than most professors.

Excellent lecturer with wonderful real world experience. However it is impossible to know what types of questions will be on his tests. Hopefully his exams from his other econ classes (477 and 423) are much more straightforward. Get a good nights rest the day before, study the practice exams and hold on. Grade consists of 2 Exams, 1 Group Project.

One of the best prof at UMBC. He is very clear in his classes and very helpful. It is open book and if you come to class, there is no way to fail his classes. I took 3 of his classes and passed them both.

Man what can I say....dude is the hardest Mofo alive....he is a nice chill dude but he doesnt use his textbooks....tests are open notes but its a trap he almost uses nothing from the notes....instead you have to derive an answer from the notes you have by thinking creatively but he is a tough grader so you have to be specific....Too much pain lol

Professor Getter is a straight up G, he is the best professor I have ever had at UMBC. You don't need the book but WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING HE SAYS IN CLASS and make sure you understand it, not just memorize it. Incredibly helpful and clear in his teaching. Would have liked to have him teach all of my Econ/Finance classes.

NO textbook needed. Show up, take good notes (tests are open notes!!) and use Getter if needed, as he is VERY helpful! Getter is very interested in the subject, wants everyone to do well and has a great sense of humor. Take this class WITH Getter!!

Professor Getter is the best econ professor I've ever had. He raises the roof of knowledge all day and is always happy to help. He wants you to learn so he doesn't take any BS answers but he makes sure that you understand. He's the man!

One of the best Econ professors I ever had. If you like economics and you think you are smart, take his class. You will learn a lot in his class. I think his class is very easy and interesting. I got an A in his class.

FIN478 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Best teacher ever. If you are looking to sit on your hands, he might not be the best fit. If you want to learn real world applications, he is the best. I graduated in 2005 and I still rely on his advice. I am glad UMBC has teacher like him.

one of the worst teachers on the planet, he doesn't allow any BS on his exams... it's open book and if you get a question wrong he usually crosses out everything you write with huge X all over your paper and write comments like "are you serious?" or "did u really just write this?" that not only embarrasses you and then he gives you an F on the exam

Hard class, I may have only gotten a C, but I feel like I learned more in this class that I could apply in the real world, than in most of my other classes put together. He's got a very laid back sense of humor, don't be afraid to go up and talk to him if you're having a problem.

He's a jokester. You'll definitely here something about raising the ruff but during the test you'll feel like the ruff is falling on ur head eventhough it's open book. He tested on things not even covered in the course and you're expected to do you're own research.Nice guy but no the best professor.

Easy class. He gives open book / notes exams. Just make sure you understand the material and show up in class. There is a group term paper. Take him if you can. Most people got A or B.
