Make sure you attend class, arrive on time, and participate, because he will subtract from your grade if you don't. He is extremely helpful and gives out study guides, so as long as you study all the material and complete homework you will get an A! Lots of quizzes and tests to keep you on track, so the cumulative final is no big deal.

Really enjoyed the course. Lots of helpful handouts that the other profs don't give. He gives participation points, so show up to class. I don't like the oral presentations, but would recommend this prof otherwise.

SPAN 110 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Enjoyed Prof Planas' class and hope to take him for Span 210. Returns grades quickly. Has a great sense of humor if you're on his good side- do your work, participate in class, and you'll be fine. There were 2 oral presentations that I didn't like, and hated the Centro online stuff, but it helped me learn.

Professor Planas is the best foreign language teacher I've ever had. He simplifies each concept and gives tons of handouts and worksheets (all of his own making) to reinforce concepts. There's fair amount of homework in the textbook, workbook and online (all of which is a departmental requirement). Tests are straightforward and he reviews for them.

I love Professor Planas & all of my classmates would agree! I was nervous going into this 6 credit course, but it turned out much better than I expected. Being in the class from 9:30-11:20 3 days a week was not easy, but he kept the class entertained & made learning spanish fun! I will be taking him for spanish 210 as well! Planas is the way to go!

He's a great teacher. He expects you to put in as much work as he does into teaching and grading (which he is quick with). If you do no get something, ASK! He will answer questions and help you out if you ask for it. Class participation is a must. Do not take him if you are not a fan or speaking in class or a professor who is a jokerster.

Pretty good professor. If I hadn't taken spanish in high school then this class would have been fairly difficult. He doesn't write stuff on the board so you have to ask him. He tries to get you to participate. He has a good sense of humor, but sometimes it's hard to catch since its spanish. He is a very good guy. I'd take him again
