Haberman is very passionate about religion and it's great hearing him lecture. Just be sure to sit near the front of the room because he's hard to hear from the back.

REL R389 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I am in a small class of eight religious studies majors dealing with religious eroticism. The class is thought provoking, and he is a very intelligent man. His teaching style seems to put heavy emphasis on students taking philosophical stands regarding the material. While I enjoy his lectures, they are not of a nature conducive to my note taking.

This lectures are very... poetic. So a bit of advice, go to the discussion section. That's where I learned the most, in lecture you get vocab, but he often goes off on tangents. He doesn't put much emphasis on reading the textbook but I would suggest that too. It explains the who, what, when, and why of each religion very well.

Really passionate teacher. Cares about what he's talking about. Kind of poetic in lectures. Not very clear though on what you actually need to know for tests. Go to discussion section.
