The final paper can be frustrating, especially when you have a topic and he wants to cut things out during critique, but this is actually really helpful in writing an effective paper. The IR papers with Eiji do get much easier as long as you're willing to try. Not showing up and not reading the book will get you at best a "C-"

Eiji is a great teacher. Although his lectures can become a little dry, he still tries to make classes engaging. You get more out of the class if you really pay attention.

Eiji - smart. cool. speaks English well. Only thing that threw me off was when he claimed he supported students voicing their own political opinions, but constantly interjected his own political views anytime a student tries to speak up. Gets so annoying at times.

Very good teacher. He can speak good english, but has a bit of an accent that understandable. He definitely likes class discussions and is very intelligent with very little bias. The coursework is also easy as long as you read the material. I would recommend him, he's good.

This class was simple. Takes attendance every period. You need the books for the quizzes that come up about every 2 weeks. Tests are easy, half of the questions come right from the quizzes. He can be really funny, but his lectures will put you to sleep. I didn't mind though, I just did other homework or relaxed.

Notes frequently fail to make sense. His English is very good, but his accent can be hard to understand at times. Often what he was talking about had nothing to do with the notes on the slide show, which was confusing. Questions asked were not answered clearly. In the future, I will be avoiding this professor's classes.

He needs to learn how to speak English clearly as he is VERY hard to understand. Other than that, not too bad.

Eiji is my favorite professor at MSU. He is very smart and an incredible teacher. His class isn't hard at all if you want to get a good grade. He is very helpful and wants his students to get a good grade. What I love about him is his fashion sense. Let me just say this man can dress and I loved coming to class to see what clothes he would wear.Lol

This guy will help you out in any way he can. He fully understands how students learn, and how to motivate us to do readings and know the material. He's funny, he cares about students, I would strongly recommend him as an advisor and a friend.

Awesome professor. Funny and incredibly inteligent. If you doubt his intelligence google search him, he's a very good professor and well known in the academic community - you shouldn't graduate in poli sci without taking one of his classes

I've had Eiji for many of my classes in the past years. I don't understand where all this negativity is coming from. I feel he is a great professor, has a straight forward teaching method, and loves to involve discussion into the class. If you are new in the IR or POL program, get to know him, and it will help you out ALOT, he's a GREAT guy to know

This is a good class to take, especially if you are considering a major in International Relations. The class is easy enough if you pay attention. Eiji is somewhat hard to understand because of his accent, but overall, he is a good professor. I recommend the class.

This class is overall an easy 'A'. You have a quiz each week, other than that just the midterm and final. Classes can seem really long some days, and some of his notes don't really make sense (even when you pay attention). He makes up for it by being goofy.

Good teacher. Knows what he is talking about and doesn't show any sort of a bias. Speaks very good English, though he stumbles on some words and repeats himself. He is funny and makes random jokes and makes fun of the students a little, but in a clearly joking way. Dresses awesomely. Highly reccommend.

Eiji is a great professor - if we had more of him, everybody would be an honor student. His lectures are easy to follow, his quiz questions come directly from the studyguide. As long as you defend your opinion well on exams and papers, you are golden. Take him as much as possible, but show up- strict attendance policy.

His class and quizzes were easy. He is generous when grading his papers. He is difficult to understand and repeats himself often which makes lectures boring, but they are mandatory because he takes and grades on attendance
