Tsuchiya sensei is amazing. She is clear, consistent, and funny as well. Oh, and did I mention she can sing? :) If you study every day, you will have no trouble succeeding in this class and will no doubt have fun along the way.

Great professor! The comments about the intro classes being too slow-paced don't seem to be true anymore. There's a good amount of homework every day and the class goes pretty fast. I definitely recommend her course!

very nice lady. helpful and easy to understand, but class was ridiculously slow-paced. after a year you will have learned soooo little. take it to boost your gpa by all means, but not to become fluent in japanese. textbook was pretty bad too. basically no homework or studying required for this course.

I've had Dollase for two classes now, and couldn't have been happier. She is both kind and encouraging, and is invested in helping you do well. She was able to lead discussion and gives great lectures as well. She is very accomodating, although she can be harder than expected. Overall though, she is a great person and I highly reccomend her.

She is very friendly and approachable and really knows how to teach well. By the end of the semester, she'll leave you feeling confident. Take anything you can with this professor, she is amazing.

One of the best teachers that I have had at Vassar. She is an amazing person. Always helpful and always wants to make sure that you understand the material. If you are even considering taking a class with her, you should go for it.
