Class is very hard. Great professor very helpful, will answer your questions. Class is not mandatory, unless you want a good grade.

I was terrified before entering this class, but after getting there wasnt so bad. If you go ask for help and have questions he will help you answer them. Chem classes arent easy and you have to try. Grades can be shifted if you show him you tried to improve.

He is the second worse teacher for chemistry (Wilcox being the worse). Avoid him. He seems nice at first but he heavily favors chem majors and that hurts all the other majors (bio).

I hated chemistry in HS, and I withdrew from my first chem class my freshman year. This guy actually made chem somewhat interesting to me. I started off awesome in the class with great grades, but after skippin classes my grade dropped a little...yet wasn't awful. He has a sense of humor and helps w/ problems. I recommend him. ..

welp. 95% of the people that write stuff on here aren't even science majors, let alone chem majors. chemistry is hard, especially at BU. get over it. Bombed both of the chem classes i had with him and still would say hes a great prof.

very nice guy. made class interesting and not too abstract. let students create half the questions for the test and the final and but the right answers and questions online. good class.

I wish he taught 116 lecture. He helped me after lab time to understand the lecture. Always willing to help out and checks his email and responds very quickly. It's about time we get a young, approachable chem professor. Any negative comments on here are from people who don't want to get help. Chem is hard but Dr H makes it work!

He rocks. Helpful. Personable. Fair. Messes up once in awhile, but who doesn't? If stupid people stopped taking chem, his rating on here would skyrocket. Yeah, I said it.

Definitely by far THE BEST prof I've ever had in any chem class. Hes the 5th chem prof I've had and he is the ONLY one that was any good. He is EXTREMELY helpful and very willing to go over things with you until you understand them. Ask him questions and he'll sit and explain them thoroughly for you. If you need a chem class, take him if possible

Most Horrible Teacher Ever, HE alway made mistakes, and blamed it on us. Final was easy, but exams were horrible, everything learned in class was not applied on the exams. got a D+ in the class and have no clue how. Dont Take Him Ever...
CHEM 2
Dr H is the nicest chem prof on campus. He is easy to talk to and always available. Great in lab also.. really helps you if your confused or stuck. I recommend him to anyone who is sick of nasty old chem profs

Enthusiastic about chemistry. Not an easy class but he was always available outside of class and outside of office hours to answer questions. Responds to email quickly. Very easy to approach.
Chem 2 Lab
Awesome prof. Definitely best teacher i've had for anything in chemistry. One of the only ones who does NOT make you feel stupid for asking questions. VERY helpful :)
