the takehome exam was brutal. She prepped us for everything that was on it though. no socratic method, and you really don't need to read the cases. just come to class and take decent notes on her lectures and you should be fine. she's a good professor and very respectful of her students. check out one of the supplements from the library too.

She does teach as if the students are in Kindergarten. Not at all deeming.I welcomed it. Civ Pro is just one of those subjects that you can't make interesting. Buy E&E and make yourself a flow chart. Scrap the traditional outline.

Good class, she was very nice and clear as to what she expected from students. Tried to stimulate class discussion. Take home exam, very tough but ultimately fair.

Overall best preparation for this course is learning the basics before the course starts. Then since open notes make some sort of a chart to figure out what rule or rules to use.

This professor might know a lot about civ pro, but she does not know how to teach effectively. Her lectures are in monotone, and not very engaging.

The class is confusing no matter who you have. She doesn't really make it better. Exam is open book but is strictly graded and don't expect to go over it with her. Definitely wouldn't take her again. Buy Examples and Explainations. Best of Luck with your First Year!

I spent the first month or so of class feeling a bit confused, which she basically told us was going to happen. Everything really came together in the end. The exam was straightforward and actually pretty easy. She constantly tells her students not to worry about being a bit confused - LISTEN to her, she's right!

Good professor. She chooses to teach the rules of civ pro first, then start over with jurisdiction. This throws some people off, but I didn't have a problem with her format. Her format follows Glannons Civ Pro to the letter. She's very kind and not at all intimidating. Her exam is open book/notes (anything written), so what's to complain about?

Very good teacher, and very good person. She cares about the students and it shows. Civ Pro is a tough class to teach, but she really knows the material. Exam is not easy, but there are no curveballs...you know civ pro when the exam comes if you took good notes in class and made an effort to prepare for the test.

Outstanding professor - extremely knowldgable. Hard subject (for first yr law) probably leads to low ratings for her class. But she does good job.

She is extremly confusing and makes the topic way more difficult then it is. She does not answer student questions and is not helpful during office hours. She is the worse professor I ever had.

Very confusing and boring. She teaches topics in a counter-intuitive order that makes the course more difficult. One plus is that she keeps old exams on file and so her current exam is VERY predictable.
