ANTH307 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: A

Great professor! He's very mellow and has a dry, subtle sense of humor. If you do ALL the reading and complete the entire study guides, you will do fine on the tests. He offers 12 points of extra credit on tests so what would normally be a C test turns into an A test! There's a lot to learn about Mesoamerica, but he makes it very interesting.

ANTH 301 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: A

This professor does not play! Attend his classes and read all the articles. We were assigned one book. His exams are crazy! Even though you do your reading and do the study guides, most of it is not on the exams. good luck to all who have to take him next semester.

This professor? Heinous. He is very rude to students, keeps them over class time, is late himself, & is melodramatic. Benitez believes he is God's gift to Anthropology. He does not tell you what will be on the test & composes all trick questions. I finally did myself a favor & withdrew. Heed my warning, or you will deeply regret taking this class.

Professor Benitez is exceedingly helpful. He takes and interest in students who show an interest in the subject matter. If you attend class you'll definitely improve your chances of getting a good grade.

HIST 398 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I took a Study Abroad Class with Professor Benetiz. He is a bit hard to approach but just try to find some common ground and you'll be fine. The books were helpful. Their is a 12 page paper which is a bit intimidating. I suggest writing about something interests you and start as soon as you arrive in the states. Ultimately it was a good course.

Tends to keep class over, test were hard but always material that was covered in the class or covered in the study guide he gave out for each test. Strongly values respect from students and will call you out if you aren't.

ANTH 307 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

VERY disrespectful of students: just did not show up at all one day w/out emailing students, late every day, does not answer emails, disorganized, plays favorites with people who help with his research outside of class, is vindictive and fussy if you have to leave early or skip class, asks about his personal research and interests on exams

ANTH 307 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Oh, and also, when you find yourself saying to the class "The exams were horrible", especially when they've also done badly on the first exam, that's more of a reflection on you as a "professor", not the students.

Will tell you to study one thing, then tests on something completely different. Is catty and immature. Claims that lecture material is on the exams, but it isn't. Will only email certain people about things, because he only likes students who kiss up to him. Gets highly offended if you, god forbid, have to leave his class to get somewhere else.

ANTH 400-001 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Knows information, takes many questions. Always late, runs class over, disorganized. He’s childish, students have left class early because he runs over time, he will disrupt the class further by stopping and waiting until student leaves, refuses to acknowledge them in later classes. Not very professional. Had 4 classes with him, no more hopefully
