HIS 109 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: A-

An interesting course. Walsh makes it very easy to succeed. He is flexible with extensions and edits drafts. Entire grade is three 4-6 page papers. Get a seat at the front, take good notes and don't miss a class and you'll do fine. He seems like a very jolly old man. I plan to take more classes with him!

AH242 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Prof Walsh is a very nice man, but I found his lectures rather boring, and since there were no exams (only three 5-page papers), attending class was unnecessary. The notes I took in class were not helpful to me. Despite my spotty class attendance, however, I got an A in the course - so either I'm an excellent writer or he's an easy grader!

AH106 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Walsh is very nice, passionate and knowledgeable about his field, and really wants to help students succeed. He's very soft-spoken so try to grab a front seat. Sometimes his lectures are dry and boring, follow his train of though. Tangents a lot :) This class was graded on 3 short paper (4-6 pgs) - a GPA booster if writing is your strength.

Have taken multiple classes with Walsh all of them easy. You have to write 3 5page papers. Lectures are a little dry but tangents are good. He loves what he does and its evident

AH137 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Reall nice guy, sometimes a little bit boring, but very passionate about the subject. You can tell he really loves to teach it. Just 3 papers which you have to put in good work on to get a good grade. I learned a lot in the class and it wasn't too difficult.

He's an ok teacher, a little boring at times and a little weird but what can you expect from an AH teacher?

HST 100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I personally never found a dull moment in this class. Something amusing always seemed to happen. My only complaint is that while Walsh was soft spoken and polite in class, I sometimes found him difficult to approach, though he was very accessible to students.

HIS 100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

An enjoyable class if you sit up front and can hear him, maybe it was just the room, but you really had to strain to hear him talk, shows way too many art slides (ok i know he does art history) but this is just a history course. I went to every class took great notes, yet i still felt i didnt know much for the papers. Still expecting an A though.

Gothic Europe Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Very knowledgable and the course is interesting. He welcomes questions and concerns from students and makes a point to make himself available. The work is some what demanding but quite rewarding. Walsh is an excellent professor and would suggest taking any of his other courses.

AH 106 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This class was painfully boring! It had such potential and he ruined it. It's entirely lecture, and he really knows his stuff but shows no enthusiasm. He's a nice guy, but I would rather be one of those artifacts buried in the dirt wasting away than to sit through another one of his classes.
